Teleport cost are fine. Gils need to be eliminated from the game and the TP cost do the job fine.
It's all a matter of economy.

I agree, we need higher costs for things, there is too much gil in the game, repair and housing should cost more too. the reason we have a shortage on housing is because it is too cheap
You mean it's not because you're on a server with a LOT OF PEOPLE ON IT? Weird... Because smaller servers still have houses open, and they're at the lowest market price.
Back on topic. Prices are fine as is. Going such far distances comes at a cost. You can use FC buffs for 30% off of teleporting (tier II), the free aetheryte tickets gained from hunting, or passes you can get from your squadron to reduce the cost. (50% off for over an hour+)
The reason we have a housing shortage is because SE are too tight and won't upgrade their servers so that everyone has access to them.

It shouldn't be accessed by everyone because there is not enough plots for that, they need to be made higher to achieve that balance. It should be accessed by those that worked for it, not by people who get lucky and not D/c by servers that can't handle more then 2k people loging in at once
I can only agree with this - when housing was release it was a HUGE gil-sink. Me and a friend crafted constantly for two months (by that I mean: 7-8 hours a day) to earn enough gil for our medium FC-home. Back then you were lucky to sell items for 30k, you were happy with 15k! Expensive gear sold for like 200k and was a major risk to take on... but now inflation has hit every server - housing prices need to go UP, not down.
Yeah, but housing isnt accessible - because there arent enough houses in the first place. And it was never truely meant to be accessible either or they would have set it up differently in the first place. It was meant as a gil-sink and something an FC could work on together. Opening it up for "private" people was the first mistake, keeping the prices at a level that everyone could theoritically afford a house in a system that cant provied everyone with one, the second.
(You also dont need even close to 200 million for a house - mansions are at around 60 million or so now, small homes are down to 3 or 4 million! Even without crafting you can get that kind of money!)

When housing first released, small plots were 15-20 mil, mediums were 45-60ish, and large plots were 250+mil on balmung.
You may have noticed that its been quite a while since then - 87,500,000 is the most you're paying on your server now and thats for a first class large plot.
