Teleport prices are too exensive

I have the three city-states as favorite, Ishgard as the free teleport to bounce to that expansion's zones (an example is simply jumping to Ishgard immediately drops Idyllshire to 400), and Kugane as home point to cover Stormblood on top of fc and apartment teleport to Lavender Beds. Without tickets I can easily use Ishgard as the price adjuster for other areas not even related to HW if I'm feeling lazy to pick up more tickets

That's the other thing a lot of people don't realize right away. If you have a house/apartment that you can teleport to, it's super cheap to teleport there and use it as a waypoint in your movements. I set Kugane as my free, Ul'Dah for my home(because squadron is there), and then use my apartment in the Mist/FC house in Goblet if I don't need to hit Ul'Dah at all.

I have Kugane as home point, Rhalgar's Reach as a Favorite and port to my house before using old areas. Works out ok.

Problem solved. Use aetheryte tickets when Return is on cooldown or you need to teleport directly to a zone; they're dirt cheap with both types of seals.

I'm constantly sitting on hundreds of aetheryte tickets from hunting S ranks, so travel costs are never an issue for me.

I've seen too many virtual economies go to the shitter because there wasn't a good enough cap on the amount of money people had.

Why 500, in your opinion? What are you spending your gil on? And why do you think this isn't fair and/or balanced? Seems fine to me.

my solution:
Uldah: Free
Limsa: Home (so free)
Foundation (ishgard): Favorite

I use uldah to go to gold saucer (80gil) , from gold saucer I can go to any main city for <200 gil. From Limsa I can boat to Kugane for 300.
the only time i spend over 300 gil is if I feel impatient, and I make that back many times over by doing dailys .

use your favorites and home point to work out a network to keep your teleports low, bonus points if you have an apartment and a house to teleport to.

TLDR: it's only expensive if you're lazy, and if you are, that's why it's expensive. you are paying for being lazy.
