Everyone thought dead is alive. I should have expected SE wouldn't have the guts to keep a main character dead. In the age of successes such as Game of Thrones, where everyone friggin dies, it sure wouldn't hurt to keep some characters dead, Yoshi P.

I mean, Papalymo is still dead, as is Conrad and Mefrid. Also, I hate Game of Thrones, specifically because all he does is kill of characters.

Dude. He got shot twice AND a building collapsed on him. There's no friggin way. Same for his new girlfriend. What the hell. Totally killed the mood.

I wasn't expecting Gosetsu to be alive, but I wasn't surprised either. Anytime they make a big deal about not being able to find the body, it's a hint that they're still alive or at least that the writers may wish to bring the character back later. I'm more surprised that they revealed that information this quickly instead of having him make a surprise return at a later time.

I was surprised Yotsuyu was alive though, largely because I don't see much of a purpose to keeping her alive, much less having her stuck on an island with Gosetsu, though we'll see how it plays out.

I do agree though that they need to stop doing these fake deaths though. Before the Dawn pulled on my heartstrings because OH GOD THEY'RE DEAD. THEY'RE ALL DEAD. Then we spent all of HW being like loljk. A few of them should have remained dead, not just Minfilia. Plot shield makes things feel less impactful and constantly swerving us on the issue of character deaths just makes players skeptical and disengaged.

If you don't see a body then they're probably not dead is a good rule of thumb to have regardless of medium or franchise. Also, when the blue kojin when to search for him(can't remember if it was Soroban or not), he comes back and specifically says that the floor went first and went out to sea etc. I thought that was a *huge* flag that he was still kickin'

I suppose that's one way to look at it, but I took it as just adding shades of gray to an unrepentant villain.

Well... I already knew from the start no major player would die. It was pretty clear since HW IMO, seeing as everyone and their mother got brought back.

Pretty sure even Minfilia is going to return at some point. I just hope for the one cutscene where I get to decide between Williams and Alenko >_>
