Yeah, that fight was insane and I loved it; it was epic and super challenging that my eyes were going all over the screen watching out for mechanics plus keeping track on which song I'm playing to assist my team (BRD life!) XD
I hope and pray that SE don't nerf this fight because this is the kind of challenge that many players wanted.
[super inactive on this Forum LOL]

I too really loved this fight. Bravo to the team that created it.![]()
I just wanted to throw in the fact that I absolutely loved this challenge. After the initial shock of the difficulty, I felt empowered to study each time I gave it a shot and master the fight down to a science. It is very party reliant, and sometimes you just get a shitty deck handed to you. It's okay. It took me about 3 days to complete this. Trying 3-4 times each day.
My girlfriend started playing FF for the first time with this expansion. She boosted a healer, I'm a DK. Granted she was sitting right next to me and I was calling out for her to react, but on the run we beat it, not a single person died to mechanics. If she can do it, anyone can do it, and I don't mean that as an insult, but she is literally completely new to FF. I think this level of difficulty is fine. You want to beat a game in 4 days go buy a single player game.
It was an awesome fight. It's a lot harder than the final boss of ARR and SB and I could see people getting stuck unless they get carried. It's about on the par with Shiva Extreme when it was new.

It was alright. I could do without the active whatever mechanic as part of its ultimate. There's no point to it.

I like the fight a lot, with one caveat: QTEs have no place in MMOs. It's a stupid mechanic in single player games, it's a more stupid mechanic in MMOs. There's so much stuff you can do aside from it.

After Thordan was essentially a giant punching bag in HW, I was kind of expecting a bit of a faceroll final boss after the Ala Mhigo instance, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
Shinryu was a brilliant fight - challenging mechanics with new twists on old moves, a decent DPS check and the epic rendition of the Stormblood theme song in the background - really got me pumped!
I can't wait for the Minstrel's Ballad version, personally!
You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.
This fight only solidified how important I feel as RDM in a party lmao
I had to save my whole party a few times with the rezzing! Oh gosh there was so much healer death. But that fight was incredibly fun, and I can't wait for the extreme version!

The biggest problem I see with this fight is that a lot of the really good players are going to blow through this and leaving everybody else behind. While you may enjoy the fight, endless wiping on it and being blocked from completing the MSQ is no fun. I also expect this to become the new /quit trial when people get placed into it.
