For the weaver quest, A Fruitful Murder, the journal text is incorrect. The text says the synth requires the quest item spider silk, cotton yarn, and undyed woolen cloth. The synth actually uses undyed velveteen, as per the 1.20 patch notes. I was able to successfully complete the synth using velveteen cloth.
