So far from Youtube theres nothing as interesting to me coerthas western highlands, ishgard at night, ayss lla or dravanian forelands. At the end of the day its taste though. I thought HW music was magical and felt quite alien whereas SB feels a lot more familar.

I like Stormblood's soundtrack way more then ARR and HW, personally.

The zone themes in particular were good enough to finally convince me to turn off my mount music.

I'm enjoying a lot of the music. I'm also glad that when I finish a SB quest, it doesn't remind me of the Land of the Lost theme.

Music tastes vary from person to person so its normal for you to not like certain pieces of the OST but like some, happens. Im personally neutral with the SB OST so far, some lovely songs, some ones I don't really like. The biggest disappointment for me so far has been Susano's theme, was expecting something along the lines of the Samurai Warriors 4 OST - japanese instruments mixed with electronic but it stayed pretty basic throughout the whole fight. The theme suits the setting but I dunno, didn't gel with me, thats just my personal opinion.

The music has always been of a very high quality in FFXIV. Stormblood is no different in that regard and whilst there are certainly some tracks I favour more than others overall they're all very good.

Stormblood's Dungeon Boss theme is the best. Hands down. No contest.

Dunno what you're talking about, music in SB is amazing. Best game BGM I've heard in a long while, I have yet to come across a track I don't like. Highest compliments to the composer (Souken again if I'm not mistaken).
I could just sit in zones listening to it for hours.

Soken's music is good. But not as good as Uematsu's 1.0 tracks. Been this way since ARR.

Soken's music is good. But not as good as Uematsu's 1.0 tracks. Been this way since ARR.

Just my opinion though.

It's a leitmotif, which is fairly common.

Uematsu's no stranger to those either. Not by a long shot.
