Soundtrack: Meh!

So far I only like Kugane's theme, the rest is soso. HW OST as well as the title screen music was way better.

I appreciate the Stormblood soundtrack and their unique theme in every situation you're in. I really enjoy the emotion that the ost is drawing in the MSQ cutscenes as well. The biggest weakness I find in every ffxiv expansion, again in my opinion, is the open world battle music.. final fantasy generally has some really epic "normal" battle themes but there isn't one that I really enjoy in ffxiv yet.

A realm reborn's open world battle themes are slightly remixed depending on the region you're but all sound so uninspiring and the same.

Heavensward's open world battle theme feels so bland to me, I always imagined a theme that reflects an ongoing struggle, which includes a little rhythm to it.

Stormblood's open battle theme is the best one to me so far.. but I kind of wish the battle themes matched more along the instance you're in, like the steppe.

I LOVE the normal battle theme! I tend to pick fights with random mobs just to hear it. Before this I never cared about the battle music.

Also Doma Castle is the best dungeon theme ever and you can 1v1 irl if you disgaree XD

Azim Steppe has the best music in this game. I had to get the scroll so I could play it in the FC house. I don't really care much for the Heavensward music, but that may be because I was under a lot of stress during most of that expansion.

Definitely your opinion. I love the Heavenward soundtrack but it doesn't make me want to leave my computer on just so i can listen to a BGM like how Stormblood does. IMO my favorite soundtrack. Especially love the Lahkshmi BGM, i guess we got different tastes. Now if they could just add an option to turn off battle music in open world.

Azim Steppe's music makse me feel calm somehow.
But the best is Doma Castle's music,I shaked my head to the beat of the bgm the whole run.
I even used some skills to match the rhythm lol.
Really had a good time.
