There isn't really a justified complaint to be made. Every complaint for Red Mage right now is literally about the aesthetic.

Not perfect but it is a good job to play.
This reminds me of the time they added DHs to wow, since day 1 the forums were flooded with people saying they were disgusted by the mechanics of the class, yet these same people leveled DHs to max lvl and were determined to make it their mains even without enjoying a single thing about the class because: REASONS!

I mean... I get it when people have played a class for a LONG time and some change occurs that causes the class to play in a way you dislike, but when they add a new class that you don't enjoy you can just... you know... not play it and move on? Oh... but that fancy hat is too strong...
Back in the old days of ffxi it was used to heal. You didn't get to melee unless you were solo. You were a refresh/enfeeble bitch that healed.
I love how RDM works right now. It so good dps! I love it

Only complaint really is that Verwater and Verblizzard aren't a thing, and while Ice is kind of covered with Fleche and Contre Sixte I guess, Water seems to be like the most ignored element in this game. No Water spell for RDM, and they removed the damage off the only water aspected ability that WHM had.
You mean they designed it as a tank right? I played FFXI and SAM was not a tank.
If it was, that was way late in the game. At least through wings of the goddess, like 6 years into FF11 SAM was a melee dps.
