    Town Design Flaws

Why should I care about towns such as Sui No Sui, and Ala Ghiri, if I cant even even go in any of the buildings? I thought this was 2017, not a cheap 2000s mmo. In my opinion it really breaks the immersion, and feeling compared to towns in the 2.0, and 3.0 areas. I want to be be able to go and see what the people are up to, I want feel immersed in the town culture, not just outside.

I noticed the lack of swinging doors, but to be honest, the zones are so much larger idgaf xD There's so many other things going on.

Just see it as people dont want you to just come into their private homes - I'm keeping my own doors looked for weird, by-passing strangers aswell!

(While I do sort of understand what you're getting at... what would be inside the houses? Generic living room versions?)

Would it be weird to say that I do NOT find this to be an issue? I always thought it was weird in so many single player RPGs how you could just walk into people's houses, unannounced, and they'd talk about the plot or give you stuff for poor reasons. Jontron pretty much put it right in his Hercules games video.

    Walks into house.
Owner: Get out of my House.
Jontron: Well, yeah, I guess anything other than that would be deviating from the norm...

Nope. I always find it a bit odd that nobody locks their doors in towns in single player RPGs. It actually feels more realistic to me to NOT be breaking and entering on every single place I see.

It's also weird that the hero can die, then try again indefinitely anyway. It'd make more sense to erase the save file and give you an alternate hero to try again from scratch, with the game shutting down entirely if you run out of heroes that would make sense in the plot.

Not very immersive with the effective immortality. They could at least go with reincarnation instead of revival.

I don't really find that I care about the towns either way. The NPCs are too dull (no routine a la Skyrim, no real dialogue of note), the merchants are too predictable and redundant, etc. They'd have to include far more than building interiors to meaningfully affect immersion.

I can agree about the inability to enter some buildings - Stuff like taverns or other "Businesses" being walled is weird... But Houses and such not so much. Then again, they are also in occupied territories, so trust is likely a big issue and further explains away the locks potentially.

You mean the houses that were usually empty and on the rare occasion that an NPC were inside most of the time you couldn't interact with them? Yes, such a major flaw. My immersion can't take it.
