There's an ATM(heh) for his obligatory transition phase. Someone(usually a tank, or a samurai wanting to look cool) has to block his sword while the rest of the party damages it and eats orbs.

If you're the "blocker", you have to spam a button?

I'm pretty sure that in Shinryu's case everyone has to do it.

I also don't think I should have to explain how spamming ONE button over and over fails to be an engaging and fun mechanic.

You can press all the buttons if you wanted. I enjoy it, it is a nice distraction for a few moments from having to worry about my rotation etc and just watch the cool sequence while spamming buttons to fill the gauge.

It only happens once and she can be rezzed right after easily, and she can avoid Susano's active time maneuver all together.

With a wipe though if I notice someone continuously doing something - or not doing something - I won't waste my mana on them. It's part of the game. Adapt or accept the fact not everyone is gonna cater to you.

No more "Active time manuver" mechanics where you have to spam one button super fast. those are neither fun nor engaging and only cause muscle strain in the hands.

Both Susano and Shinryu suffer from this, although its worse with susano.

I came to dread wiping at susano becuase I'd have to repeat this un fun part of the fight.

Don't get me wrong, the rest of these battles are great but the button spam needs to be entirely re thought.

Well in these fights, there are other people in your party so you could ask one of them to do it. A lot of us love these things; it is my favorite part of rhe Susano fight.

Last fight was kinda lack luster. (Btw, I think its kinda still spoilery to have that in the first post day two of official launch don't you?)

I'm fine with it. Its a nice change of pace. Better than having a boss jump and become invuln with nothing else to do.
