    Ifrit after 1.20

    Am I supposed to be getting the hell beat out of me by this bad boy? A successful block drops his damage down to 0 (thank god) but without Obsess II and Defender II I'm taking obnoxious amounts of damage with partial Sentinel's and Knight's Bread. Rampart isn't up all the time and Sentinel is.. eh. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

    Biggest problem is dealing damage to counteract his regen. Doing combos isnt viable against him on anything other than archer.

    Other issue is dmg output by melee has drastically been reduced. 800dmg attack to about 400, if it jumps too much now you actually risk timing out.

    Ifrit needs to be rebalanced some, can't really combo it at all past the glowing stage.

    Thats not entirely true, some classes got reduces, while some recieved a gain.

    Ifrit: Archer can hit for about 2fold more, Lncers dmg is halved, Mrds dmg unless tanking is reduced by over half because its animations take too long to combo with, thm is decent for 30secs then they are out of mp, Pug is Pug still not that good on the fight.

    Outside ifrit it is not bad, but the ifrit balance is pretty horrific atm, dmg is reduced outside combos and the fight does not let you do them at all.

    Don't get lured by combos... It's fine pre 3x skills... then combos have to be timed. Post 2hr just use single WS and slowly DPS it down.

    Anyone else seen a change in hellfire? We went in and it floored us even with sentinal up. Thinking maybe need a stoneskin + sentinal combo to counter it.

    As for damage we went in and couldnt get him to even hellfire the first time with the standard 2 mage 1 tank and 5 lnc til we were at 11 mins remaining. Before 1.20 we could kill him in 10 mins with ease. So thats a drastic change. Tried with some arc and their damage seemed to rival the old lnc damage but we dont have 5 arc atm in our reg run pt.

    On the bright side con has such a large mp pool now and with the ability to restore it in chunks you never really fall under 50% mp at any time.

    There wasnt a change in hellfire, there was a change in sentinel. It mitigates about 30% less damage now. A good quick nock on archer will do about 700ish damage to ifrit, if you combo that in with keen flurry every time the 2 are up you can get some good damage out of it. Same with blood letter if you can get it to stick. For all the other classes, combos are near impossible to pull off and mistakes can't happen. 1 DD dying can cause the entire party to wipe without chainspell to raise people.

    We honestly haven't noticed a difference in Hellfire.

    Our issue has been that our damage is so much lower now.

    We've mastered combos, no problem with those. Even tanking i'm racking up heavy damage on combos but the overall damage output of the group has been reduced.

    At one of our attempts we actually timed out at 5%.

    We used to have Ifrit dead way before 10 minutes was up, lately we've been getting to Hellfire at 18 minutes because of the change of pace.

    We only fought him a few times so we may try a different setup.

    Heres a tip though: THM helps on damage a ton.
