Crit does not overtake Det till somewhere around 2.2k crit levels. SkSp trumps all stats but loses its gains in content that have large amounts of downtime from the boss. DH/Det are the safest you can be at the moment. We have Shifu, so I can't see it mattering much.
Also! I'll update the front page soon with the new thread showing stat importance and such. It's basically what we've said, in that you want to prioritize DH. Determination=Skillspeed until you hit about 1700 Crit at which point, Crit is better than both of them. Since we'll have the breakpoint for Crit over Det/SS with this gearset, you'll probably want to focus on just Crit/DH.

For me personally I meld Crit/DHR and Skill Speed. Why SS? it gives more dmg to Higanbana. Plus reduces GCD, that for SS> DET. If we had no DoT then yes Det would be better. Right now I sit @1328 SS. At least 1200 SS i good to have, that's just me though.
i was talking to a few people who are Math nerds including myself, and i find this to be True, ATM ONLY classes that Crit is at its highest would be MNK , BRD , DRG, and i believe SCH. Pretty sure it should be DH>Det>Crit>SS or DH>Det>SS>crit

https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...tats_compared/
Edit: The claim that Crit would become better than both Det/SS at 1700 was regarding the 'derivative value', which does show crit being higher. However, apparently the meaningful breakpoint where it truly matters is closer to what you said (listed in the thread as 2312 Crit). And DH is king until (listed in thread as) Crit>2811.
So, apologies for any confusions-
DH is the stat you want to stack.
Det is stacked unless you can hit a value of Crit that exceeds 2.2k(2.3k-ish seems to be the absolute number for it to be the god stat for all Jobs)<--- This number I'm sure will become more concrete in the future. If you can stack beyond the above value of Crit, it becomes a more worthwhile stat than Det/SS.
So i have a question, In this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOUa3JgrNrE , This guy does Kaiten for Gekko and Kasha, Is that not worth more than Shinten? ( Sorry if this was asked already, i honestly rather ask myself than to bother reading all 12 pages) Isnt that 300 more damage for 5 less Kenki?

Well, Gekko is 400 potency so Kaiten is an extra 200 for 20 kenki. Shinten is 300 potency for 25 kenki. That puts Kaiten at 10 potency per kenki and Shinten at 12 so Shinten wins.

20 kenki for 200 potency. 25 kenki for 300 potency. You don't even need to be very good at math :P.

Kenki* but thanks for Feedback
This just occur to me....wouldnt it be Kaiten + Kasha / Gekko finisher only use 10 kenki (under right position req). Since we know that if we use Shinten, you wont gain anymore kenki. While if you do Kaiten + weaponskill you still gain kenki (5-10 kenki) except for iai.
So it should be 10-15 kenki for 200 pot and 25 kenki for 300 pot? Have anyone tested and see if it actually dps gain?

Aren't both Kaiten and Shinten oGCD? So you could use shinten - > gekko as quickly as Kaiten - > gekko and hence build the same amount of kenki with both.
