    Thinking about transferring

Hello, I'm currently on a pretty packed server and I was thinking of transferring out and have been looking around. I was wondering what type of server Cactuar was.
    1. Low - Med - High?
    2. New player friendly or more so end game?
    3. General economy?

    Thank you

I was thinking about transferring here too. Tired of not only the long queues of Gigglemesh, but the general unfriendliness of the server as well. Same questions as the poster above: what's the population like (generally speaking, not just the SB population surge), how's the community, what's the economy like (more buyer or seller friendly?)

    1) Mid-sized server, currently edging towards high because of the expansion rush lol, but it's not usually that bad.

    2) Both. There's a lot of FCs dedicated to helping sprouts, but often it's in the hope that they'll stick around for end game groups. We have a smaller raid community than servers like Gilgamesh, but it's been growing a lot since I joined last year.

    3) Economy has always been very active. We were always considered a very wealthy server compared to how many people are actually on it. When I joined a year ago (it was still considered low/mid pop) it was known as The Crafting/Gathering server and it was rare to see someone who didn't have oodles of gil stashed away. This has since changed a bit because we've been getting more transfers from other servers. I would say the economy fluctuates on how buyer/seller friendly it is. With all the new people from Balmung and Gilgamesh (who are used to selling their stuff for pennies on their own servers), the economy has kind of tanked for sellers. But it usually goes back into an upswing when all our multimillionaires buy up all the cheap stuff and list it at a decent price a few months later. XD Keep in mind there's still stuff that sells well, you just gotta learn how to play the MB differently from your own server.

In general I'd say the community is one of the friendliest. There's lots of social linkshells and FCs, and even during slow times (when we're in a content drought I mean) there's a lot of people that play consistently. I'd say the only other server that compares for friendliness is Goblin, but people usually bypass it since it's so low pop haha.

I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to answer, and have given me a lot of great information. I think I'll try to make an alt on Cactuar soon (when it's unlocked XD) and check it out.

Its a good server. I just transferred from Balmung here. Lots of people around and no queues.

I mean, there are SOME queues, but not too bad.

And we try to be friendly.

    Most of the time.
