    Idk if the devs will ever do it but in a way we really could use a "gauge-charge" skill like those mentioned above. Dragon Sight could actually become "grants 2 eyes" instead of a tether skill. Other Jobs have a way to charge their gauges while we have none. Or they can make BOTD give 1 Eye if it's activated while BOTD is up, prolly increase the cd a bit to 40 seconds to balance it out or so.

    My opinion is just this:
    1. If the devs intended for Nastrond to be a primary DPS mechanic, then they should adjust either LOTD or Nastrond to make it worth it.
    2. If the devs intended for Nastrond to be a "bonus" DPS phase and our main rotation is the primary DPS mechanic, then they should adjust the GCD potencies or create a mechanic where B/LOTD supports the primary rotation.

    I wouldn't mind if they made PVE DRG like PVP DRG. For those who are unaware, PVP DRG plays like this:

    Dragoon has two combos:
    1. TT-VT-FT-FC
    2. ID-Dis-CT-WT

    The 4th hit in either combo grant TWO eyes. So after 1 full rotation of both combos, you use GK to enter LotD. During LotD you have 30 seconds to use Nastrond, and upon using it, you fall back in BotD. So it's sort of like a Foul, you get one shot of it, BUT you can do it once every rotation instead of 2-3x every 80 seconds. They could make DRG like this, and just make Mirage Dive a regular oGCD with a normal timer instead of this proc BS. Gating our stance behind the accrual of eyes from 2 separate OTHER oGCDs that move us around or may not be usable during certain phases is cumbersome. Then they could make Lance Mastery do something else like make FC or WT 400 potency instead of giving us a 5th.

    Yes, I actually enjoy PVP DRG very much and would not mind at all if PVE DRG worked like this.

    I think eyes are still based off jumps, but jumps are high damage low cooldown moves in PVP.

    I haven't had any issues with BotD falling off since the change and the potency buffs have got me putting out competitive DPS.

    V1S is perfect for DRG right now because of how often we can elusive jump, although I have gotten myself into trouble using Jump/SSD during a knockback and finding myself in a very awkward position on the ice.

    V2S is a bit annoying with how much movement and downtime there can be, but it's not too hard to just pop BotD and fill that timer up before -100G to be safe.

    Haven't gotten to V3S yet, but I'm sure we'll perform adequately.

    All in all, I'm pleased with DRG at the moment. It's certainly not perfect, but the potency buffs and the plethora of QoL changes have certainly added up to make my experience better.

    Ah you're right:
    Jump
    Additional Effect: Strengthens the gaze on your Dragon Gauge by 1 if under the effect of Blood of the Dragon or Life of the Dragon
    Cannot be executed while bound.

    So acquiring 4 eyes under BOTD unlocks GK, using GK puts you into LOTD for a full 30 seconds,. Gaining 4 eyes in LOTD unlocks Nastrond, and Nastrond puts you back into BOTD...and the cycle repeats. Jump is 5s recast and SSD is 15s recast. So you can can Nastrond almost every 30 seconds. So you're cycling your BotD and LotD phases every 30s or so.

    I liked DRG both in ARR and HW. And in SB too, but only until I reached lv70 and found that this final skill made this once such simple and cool job into a complete trainwreck. Absolutely hate nastrond, because it makes DRG much harder to play and this skill not even feels very powerful in return to how complicated DRG playstyle it makes.

    Used to be my main job, now i'm throwing into trash bin.
