Game(Stormblood) isnt even out for a week!! >_>
Give it some days/Weeks more till 1st wave of lv70ers are full of endgame gears and smash it like a fly like HW Final boss.

When I got to the level 54 samurai story instnace I died a couple times doing it...
Was -just- dying before the boss...
Then it popped up next time with ECHO POWER!
I was like...
No, I don't want your pity buff!
I right clicked it off, saw another buff I didn't know as well, right clicked that off.
Then got absolutely murdered by the first set of trash.
Oops, I was supposed to have that other buff...
Right! Just remove the echo buff this time.
I then managed to clear it with better use of my role abilities.
And no Echo.

The boss is fine. People are just too used to fights like thordan where all it is is a glorified fanservice encounter with no real danger or difficulty. We need more fights like this. Stupidly easy content just for the sake of the fact that it's tied to story is not satisfying or rewarding at all. SBs last boss on the other hand was perfect. More encounters like this please.

The issue is, you never want a boss to impede MSQ. EVER. By definition MSQ is casual content. The boss is fine. EX exists for a reason. THAT is where challenge for the serious player should be.
I liked the fight, but I equally feel the pain of friends I know with various conditions, ranging from old age (My old FC leader was 68) to disability who I know damn well will only beat him by getting carried through a face tank of the floor.
That shouldn't happen in MSQ.

but how is this boss difficult
(hidden due to mechanic spoilers)
"oh look water that pushes us we go to it." "oh ice on the floor we dont move" "oh a GIANT AOE lets not stand in it" to be honest it is a really easy fight mechanically, the only real 'hard part' is the meteors, and even then 'oh look a spot where a meteor ISNT landing i'll stand there' its not hard at all. most parties in my roulets i get are 1 wipe then they clear, always at the same point as well.
:/ i really hope this doesn't get nerfed this is a exciting fight that isnt that hard to do when people focus normally.
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun

Ah, you're talking about "Brillant Conviction" buff. Yeah, I noticed it at first and wonder what it was. It feels like SE up the difficulty (Which I really appreciate) in these instances. It gives you a rapid regen effect and I think an increase in attack power.

He's the end boss. The big bad. He needs to have some difficulty. Want easy fights? PLay a single player game on easy difficulty. This game has had too many fight nerfed to the ground already. Leave this one be.
This. So much this. Whats the point in having an endboss when its basically just another striking dummy. Thats a hugeass dragon there, a powerful primal - why do people just want him to drop dead as soon as they did so much as poke him?
While I do enjoy the difficulty, the average player can only manage to cover their keyboard or gamepad in drool trying to dodge everything... So Echo on The Royal Menagerie would very much be welcome so it's doable without getting lucky and getting a good party.

The only reason you think it's overtuned is based off of the difficulties of previous MSQ boss fights. Something being challenging is not the same thing as being overtuned. It's also far and away from even being close to savage difficulty. Also enough with the "MSQ/Story is for casuals" there are all kinds of players with different levels of investment that love the story, they are final fantasy fans after all. The difficulty of the fight is appropriate to the storyline, leave it alone.
