Level 30 Gladiator Quest "The Rematch" Needs Retuning.

I am a lvl 30 GLD, my gear is up to par and I kill mobs pretty fast. No matter how fast I kill the preliminary mobs by the time I make it to Minfilia she only has 1.5 of her health left. Gladiators no longer have access to cure so I cannot help her. It does not matter how quickly I kill the healers she dies 100% of the time. I cannot progress with how this mission is setup and it is incredibly frustrating.

You can also, to a degree at least, outlevel and outgear it.

I just finished this quest at lvl 30. You have to kill the mages first. After mages are dead spam flash to get them off her. After that it was easy. Took me 4 tries to figure out the quest.

Also a little nitpick but it's Mylla who you have to help in that quest (the Guildmistress of the GLA's Guild), not Minfilia.

But yeah, that fight was always annoying as hell even back at the start of ARR's service because of the ranged spam (THMs blasting you with Thunder, ARC's constantly shooting you full of arrows and CNJs constantly throwing Stones at you and healing themselves), but the ranged classes are the ones you need to go for immediately. Then go for the named CNJ who will probably be slugging rocks at Mylla (he's a roegadyn if I remember rightly - it's been nearly 4 years since I did that quest). Losing access to Conjury spells like Cure is a problem, but it's still doable (for healing you can map potions to your hotbar as the cooldown to use them has been greatly reduced now to the point you can use low level ones within... ten seconds I think). Upgrading your gear to the best stuff available will help a lot too.

Once you've given yourself breathing space from the ranged spam, a named THM will appear and starting summoning something up on the upper steps (a lalafell if I remember right), which if you don't kill he will summon a ogre which is not too dangerous but more just an annoyance on top of everything else.). Then it just becomes a task of simply mopping up any stragglers left alive.

Just keep a cool head, take down the THMs, ARCs and CNJs near Mylla, take out the named CNJ ASAP, and you'll eventually triumph over those violet robed thugs.

It's not that minor a nit to pick. I read the post and thought; "Holy Crap! Did they rewrite the quest?". I can rest easier now.
