Please Square Enix, no more button spam mechanics.

No more "Active time manuver" mechanics where you have to spam one button super fast. those are neither fun nor engaging and only cause muscle strain in the hands.

Both Susano and Shinryu suffer from this, although its worse with susano.

I came to dread wiping at susano becuase I'd have to repeat this un fun part of the fight.

Don't get me wrong, the rest of these battles are great but the button spam needs to be entirely re thought.

I love how anytime anything new is added in a mmo will it will somehow bother someone, somewhere because of x reason. It's a cool mechanic and if for some reason you can't handle it, let someone else do it. Problem solved.

I also don't think I should have to explain how spamming ONE button over and over fails to be an engaging and fun mechanic.

It doesnt even have to be 1 button. I use left/rightclick and spacebar. Alternate left/right while tapping spacebar and it's done in less than a second. OP regarding "handstrain" shouldn't be an issue for anybody who doesn't have crippling pain in their hands as the norm.

There's an ATM(heh) for his obligatory transition phase. Someone(usually a tank, or a samurai wanting to look cool) has to block his sword while the rest of the party damages it and eats orbs.
