1. Dps race
2. Gear check
3. Right abilities on your action bars
3. Combos - if all members are pro at dps, combos and timing of abilities/spells during a certain phase then it's cake.
4. Survive
5. Moogle order
In no particular order.

Whoopty doo! Why dont u tell us something useful? Like Strategy?
You really don't know the japanese very well do you. This is because JP are very humble people. If they achieve something, they keep it to themself even if they are server first. So who care if you are server first or first kill anyway. Enjoy the game at your paste. The problem with NA is that they rush to see who can do it first and spam on the forum stating they kill it, server first and for whatever reason and demand more content and whine and b.itch about being easy and need more challenge.
For JP when they kill something, they share with everyone and their strategy. They don't need linkshell, they do pickup group and let everyone in on the fun. In NA you must be with a large linkshell or you left alone in the dark. Linkshell like to brag and show off either on forum and in game for the kill so more people join them and even show off how cool their linkshell is.
This is what I am wondering. Even with full buffs we get annihilated.
We've survived with two up, that's pretty much the threshold (even then everyone except tanks were at ~500 hp). Any more up than that it's a whipe.
It's a tight fight, very enjoyable, but also it is A LOT of work for the rewards. Neutral Impact just defeated on Figaro and we got 2 nuts and a mogfork.
I'm sure the strategy will be available in a few days, but DGMart up top pretty much nailed it. We spent 6-7hours tonight just trying to figure out the moogle order in phase 2. Once we found something we liked and figured out the gimmick to the king, we were able to take it down in two attempts thereafter.
Also Kupo Nuts not being 100% drop suuuuuucks... please consider fixing this SE ; ;
Draw swords and shatter shields with us!

Strat.
If you want to be like everyone else take 4-5 archers, 1-2 Gla- 2 con.
Everyone having Ifrit bows Helps A LOT. Everyone having B4b, BB, Raise, Sentinel, Sacred prism + cure /sanguine rite(Helps if you are new to moogle fight) Invig, Keen flurry (for archers) and last is your choice.
Killing moogles, Learn your combos and linking which abilities to which combo. as an archer with ifrit bow it's not hard for you to solo the caster moogles with the use of keen flurry and other buffs. Blackmage, Whm, Thief, Archer are the ones you want dead asap during second phase, the others you can easily kite around with little worry while you burn king. (Yes he will still go immune at times but you will be fine).
Learn to kite, as an archer you can kite and still do good dps, as melee you can't do anything while kiting (we still managed to do it with 4 mrd 1 lnc 1 gla 2 con) Thats really all you do this fight, kill those 4 moogles first > burn boss > clean up rest > profit.
tips. if everyone stacks during the summon before flow, 1 mage sacred + rite = full mp, all melee sacred + heal AFTER for full hp and mages not basically starting fresh.
Glads can aoe flash the group x2 and start kiting while you pick off targets.
