lol at the speed that got cleared, while i had my issues with Ifrit (animation lock/lag not it being hard).
I get why they are not doing long quest and detailed fights with lots of work behind them given the focus one would hope is on 2.0 having boss fights that are long and challenging.
(not in the omg it just 1hit the tank kind of way, more the tactical/ waves of mobs/things happening and you react/ moving land/ random things that are not set to XX% hp an some times might not happen at all).
I really want to see it move much more towards the fight in the opening Vid, then static outdated combat.
But the fight looks well done, problem is its the only Big item in this patch.. So it was never going to last long or be enough unfortunately, this alone is making me wonder if i should just bow out untill 2.0 when the game might feel full..
But the Events part is tempting me to pay in one month each patch...
But i digress

I figured the fight would be cleared in 24 hours, but not in ~6 hours~!
All I have to say is... they need to make content balance, still in the burn party groove... 4 arcs 2 cons 1 gla 1 mrd (or 2 gla)? Maybe one day there will be a fight that requires all the classes (or most) to be present... or at least viable!



It would be hard unless you forced it, such as that it is required to have each class to do x situation.I figured the fight would be cleared in 24 hours, but not in ~6 hours~!

Because in the end its just you damaging it. And you can do that on all the classes.



People choose to do a burn style, you can always mix things up -- It's up to the players, this is the same mentality people had with CoP because it was a quick way to do something, i.e:I figured the fight would be cleared in 24 hours, but not in ~6 hours~!

You didn't need that setup to clear 99% of the BCNMs in CoP, it just made things a lot easier, all MMOs suffer from this unless they purposefully lock certain class abilities in the fight, i.e some bosses will lock a, b, c class abilities due to "story reasons" or x, y, z classes in general because they design the instance/dungeon/etc to be only enterable by certain classes.
