Monitor turns off ONLY with FF14

    Hello,
I have seen random threads about people with the issue but little as far as resolution. I am very confident this is NOT a cable or voltage issue.

It happens ONLY with FF14 in fullscreen.

I am running on a 980Ti that is working perfectly within voltage, heat and fan RPM parameters. Regardless, I have seen the issue on both AMD and nVidia cards...

    Thoughts?

Have you checked the event log? There might be an error relating to your issues. Also does the monitor turn back on or do you have to restart your computer?

I've seen this happen before with driver issues. Performing a clean install or rolling back to an older driver might fix it.

Hmm the problem is this could be a couple of things. Try reinstalling your graphics driver or updating it is usually the first go to. Also what display setting are you at? Have you tried turning down or up some graphics settings? Does it produce the same issue consistently or is it random?

    Hello,

    IT Pro here....

Your graphics card sounds like it definitely has a driver issue. Seems like your graphics card has run into some sort of color pallet that it cant handle or some sort of extreme stress when running game that it doesn't know how to handle.

If your card has worked on this game before and this is not the first day of use out of the graphics card then update the drivers. Make sure you have the official Nvidia driver for that particular model. Update it and you should be fine.

If after the update it still continues to have the issue then it is more then likely a defect with the card itself and would suggest warranty replacement if applicable. Otherwise fully replace the card.
