    I agree that the +1 is still awesome and am glad they gave it to me. Gathering between nodes is a good idea. The issue most of the people saying +1 is a slap in the face is because most of us have both gathering jobs and without a lot of cordial use can't make nodes on both jobs often enough.

    You're shaving more than microseconds.

    You got 5 GP back every 3 RL seconds before this trait (excluding times engaged with a node, which drops the natural regen down to 0). Now, you get back an additional 20% - or 6 GP every 3 seconds.

    Timed nodes are every 2 game hours, right? Except for the Ephemeral ones that are up for 4 game hours and down for 20. If you needed to hit 1 node every time they popped, previously, you needed cordials of some sort in order to keep up with your GP usage - especially if you were using one of the Gathering % buffs.

    Now, you get back 720 GP, minus the time lost engaged with a node, plus 5 for every actual collect on that node, for every 2 game hours. That's enough that you can avoid Cordial use entirely, unless you are looking at getting a second node within that 2 game hour window.

    I think this trait is most useful for FSH since we are constantly gaining GP even while fishing. I definitely feel it more when using FSH than BTN, for example.

    Even when spearfishing you regenerate GP.

    I really think they should've given something different to miner and botanist. It might work for Fisher, but for what Roth said to be a thing, you'll have to sit on your ass doing nothing in that class for the trait to be meaningful, since actively gathering now reduces your GP regen with this trait.

    Actually, whether or not active gathering reduces your GP regen is debatable, depending upon your latency and probably other factors as well. You could gather faster than once every 3 seconds (the GP regen rate) so active gathering was a faster means of regenerating GP (compared to sitting on your duff) prior to this trait. I'm do not know whether active gathering, due to the swing speed, is better or worse than standing GP regen with the trait.

    If the trait were for 7 points of GP regen per 3 seconds, or more, then standing around goofing off would be faster regen, but at 6? I don't know.

    Wait. But isn't the gathering animation about 3s in duration? I thought I remembered reading that.

    My above post aside, there's a really simple way to make the level 70 GP trait feel as impactful as it should:

    Instead of having it increase GP regeneration by 20%, have it increase GP generation by 20%. From all sources. Including Cordials.

    Now that would be impactful.

    Or they could just make it effect gathering successes, instead.

    It changed nothing for me.

    One hour between nodes still takes a Hi-cordial, 2 hours still takes HQ watered cordial, 3 hours still takes nothing.

    Even if they gave us 6GPs / successful gather as well, it would change nothing.

    I have no complaints, just see no real bonus from this bonus.
