I'll add to my list:
Blue Mage as a tank that dual wields scimitars and can parry block. Or just DPS caster idk, I just want to see it in FFXIV!
Rune Fencer as a tank that instead of using a GS, perhaps a scythe, or lance / shield like a Phalanx that utilizes elements as it's defesive stances (Earth, Water, Wind etc.)
Geomancer as a healer that can utilize handbells to heal party, add defense / regen auroras etc. and perhaps have certain elemental debuff DoTs; not a almost Black Mage like it is in FFXI.
Dancer would be a DPS w/ Daggers, id say drain samba, haste samba, and a critical one; maybe have it to where the dnc has to keep in stance to keep his buffs effective.
But sadly I know Rune Fencer won't be added, but I'd love to see it revolutionized in FFXIV, it was super fun in FFXI.
As far as Yoshi P wanting to add jobs unique to FFXIV, I play ff to enjoy those classic jobs that made the FF series a classic.

a dual wield sword judge tank, like gabranth, !!lest make justice with the final judgment!!

I think we may eventually get a garlean gunblade job in a not too distant future which could be our "unique to FFXIV" job.
I could see it being somekind of Magitek knight, probably tank since we are lacking those and it would probably look fine in our current heavy armor sets. At most it could be (yet another?!) melee dps sharing gear with DRG.
Blue Mage...I feel like (and hope!) it will happen at some point but I honestly see it more as another caster dps with many support abilities, rounding caster numbers to four like the melees. I guess it could be tweaked to be a tank aswell but I'm not sure if it would feel right, not to mention it wouldn't look nice at all wearing fending gear.
Geomancer has been namedropped many times in the game recently and I think it may happen, it will probably be that "japanese caster" Yoshida mentioned in an interview and incorporate concept from the "Oracle" FFT job aswell. I could see it being some sort of japanese shaman-like class, probably a healer with a strong elemental theme. With WHM moving more and more into holy magic there shouldn't be that much of a thematic overlap creating problems.
After these?
Chemist, Dancer, Beastmaster...everything could work really.
If we go by logic we need another physical ranged dps since we only have two jobs covering that, a Ranger using crossbows maybe?
Something using blunt weapons would also be nice since we only have MNKs using those, DRG and NIN also have unique gear sets and may eventually have to share them with someone else.
Would really like to see a gunblade tank job but I think that is just wishful thinking =P

I feel like Blue mage could work as tank mage.
Honestly I wouldn't argue with that, seeing the main goal of the blue mage is to take damage from skills to learn it, could be a key factor in building up skills and charges. Every time they take damage they gain X charge which is then expended by various skills like Bad Breathe could be a blind/debuff for say 10 sec.

Of all the Blue Mages in the main Final Fantasy series, only two-ish (FFV and technically FFX-2) ever had to learn exclusively by getting hit. Quistis in VIII learned from items, IX and X had them learn through the use of particular abilities, and the other two (VI and XI) only needed to see the ability used regardless of whether or not they were the target of that ability.Honestly I wouldn't argue with that, seeing the main goal of the blue mage is to take damage from skills to learn it, could be a key factor in building up skills and charges. On the other hand, despite Blue Mage never traditionally being that much of a tank outside of XI (where apparently everything was a tank), that's probably the best approach I've seen for making Blue Mage a tank.
True, though I know VII worked that way as well. Was thinking of VI/III as well but looking it up seems they just needed to "see" the attack. Regardless yeah, just to me it is what comes to mind first is getting hit to learn it. Just seems to best option for those who clamor for it. I know some may be mad....but at the same time we also get the whole "Mage tank" too and I don't really consider Dark Knight a mage tank, really don't consider blue either as much but eh.

If I have to guess new jobs will be something that can use maiming and scouting gear
