The biggest problem for Geomancer as a healer is that as it's displayed in the Astrologian storyline, it's not really any different from the base class of Conjurer.

I had the same thought, but that could likely be a placeholder. It was just teased so heavily that I cannot help but feel they might do something with it.
You seem to be more familiar with the Conjurer class than I am (never played it for myself and have to admit i am not very experienced in general), so could I ask something? Is there any weapon in the Conjurer's weapon arsenal that looks like a slingshot without an elastic? That is the wand the NPC used and I was wondering if I could find it in the game. It was not quite like a Maple wand, if memory serves me right. It is a fairly short and bulky Y shaped wand/mace.

Saw a Thanavirian Embassy in Kugane. Perhaps someone in Radz-at-han knows how to tank with a saber or heal with a fan? Maybe they would teach us?

I've actually been hoping for Mystic Knight (possibly tank?) and Chemist (healer) to be Thavnairian jobs. They fit the look, at least.





I won't deny Blue Mage and Dancer could also fit it. But these are the ones I want, especially Chemist. Chemist should also fit Thavnairian lore, I'd think.

I feel like they shattered any of the hopes the GEO had with the AST quests, actually. They seem to be intent on merging the two under ASTs banner.

I haven't finished the storyline yet, but that is a bummer to hear.

With all the buzz about Blu from SE's letter and the Astro quests, I do hope that it is a thing they are working on. I would like to see it as a tank as well (Twelve know we need some tanks and healers in que).

And, if they were added, I would honestly see the job teachers either Raubaun (he does a ton of primal abilities in the tourney of HW and of course his name is a big flag for us who played FFXI), or even the warriors of the Steppe. Magni uses some Titan-esque moves and his axe looks like the Crag axe. And then there is Sadhu,
and boy does she scream Blue Mage! The line AoE is Garuda's wind blast, and she summons those Chuluus to spit fire and summon a meteor.

And as for another job, I would like to see Dancer come in as a healer that can heal through dps via Drain Samba. Of course, it would still have direct heals, but it would do good to not have a repeat of Astro's mechanics and have a healer with its own style.

Give me Blue Mage DPS, uses skills based of monsters, but with a slight twist since you're not a monster, and cant use the skills to a full extent.

Bad/Aqua Breathe AOE and all that jazz.

We do NOT need another damned DPS.

We literally just got two and the queue times are bad enough as it is.

Just like Overwatch, no wonder no one wants to Heal and Tank, the roles are so stale.
