Please don't tread away from the quality of story of this game in the future.

I know a lot of people skip the MSQ, but as someone who actually really enjoys the FFXIV story, please continue feeding the story and cutscene team resources...4.0 was magnificent and one of the best story experiences I have had in a long time in gaming. In writing, direction, cutscenes, great characters, voice acting, interesting locations, all of it. In an MMO engine it is a true marvel. Bravo, Yoshida and team.

1000x this post. I'm not even that far in. I vowed to enjoy the journey this time around. I blew through Heavensward almost too fast (it was THAT good), and eventually some of the impact faded away with the focus on Alexander (which paled in comparison).

I'm loving the tale so far.

I've gotten so attached to the characters I'm afraid to finish. I don't want any of them to die. Doma castle is next for me

In a word, Epic, that's how I describe this expansion. I am particularly fond of the Othard arc which flowed like water.

I 100% agree with this post. Everything from the MSQ to the side quests has been excellent. The quality of the work that went into those elements of the game is really appreciated by a great many in the community.

Wasn't it already confirmed that, due to outstandingly positive results, FFXIV would continue an emphasis on narrative? I distinctly remember hearing that, if anything, they would place more priority on story (rather than less) should it prove to be increasingly successful.
