Props for RDM, Devs!

I'll wait for all the RDM spam to go away from PotD and PvP before I venture too much further. Right now every roulette or PotD is SAM/SAM RDM/SAM or RDM/RDM for DPS, which is fine, but since those jobs start at 50, they know absolutely nothing on how to play it, so many of the dungeon runs are just simply facerolls while they spam whatever they think works.

I do think the mechanics of it look a lot more fun than I had hoped. It also helped that the MSQ basically made Alisaie an Red Mage without actually stating it directly (aside from one reference to the male Miqo'te in red.) So you do see Alisaie in far more solo sequences than Alphy in V3.0 content. Alphy is still an Arcanist (not a summoner or scholar since he only summons carbuncle.)

I think it certainly helps the case for a job if one of the MSQ characters has that job. With Alisaie having the Red Mage job, and Gosetsu having the Samurai job, you at least get an idea of what a new job looks like. None of the V3 jobs did this.

I've been waiting for years for Red Mage to be in FFXIV.

I am enjoying the class so much and I'm waiting to get varhoyly/flare <3. I really miss any "en" spell to use with the sword like the FFXI spells but meh, its a funny job ^^;
