I'd agree with you but only for current threads, if you want to see the problem of necroing threads look at Shouko's post, people read the thread without looking at dates and start arguing about a point of view the other person might no longer have after a year, or the other person might no longer be in the forums and Shouko's post ends up just him talking to a wall.
With a new thread you ensure all participants are at least active and they are currently holding whatever point of view they explained, that's if you're actually interested in having a discussion in the forums, if you only want to give your 2 cents then I could see why other participants being absent wouldn't bother you.
It will be available sometime between this maintenance's end, and July-August 2018 realistically.
Dang, i guess i stepped on someones toes. Just wait for the maintence to end, i wouldn't be surprised (to my disappointment) we'll see the items on mogstation or mayhap little later when Make it rain event hits.
It would be very awesome if they made it available again.
First I didn't necro the thread if that's what you're implying, I added my 2 cents without caring how old the post was, but I wasn't the person who necro'd it which technically not even a necro, last post was in October. People get too uptight about necroing on threads on the net. If they so desired they could lock the thread like most other sites but they don't which means anyone can post and a lot of people do at any time.
Why would making a new thread instead of a necro ensure discussion? If a thread is necro'd and people get to discussing it, then it's not longer dead but revived. Same concept applies in game, you don't just make a new character because it was KO'd otherwise we would never get anywhere.
Obviously you cared enough to post in a necro'd thread, so you must have some passing interest in the subject otherwise you would have skipped it.

i unlocked it at the event but never used it. who the hell wants a chocobobutt hairstyle? ^^

Rather people necro threads than constantly making new posts that have the exact same discussions as the previous
