    Balance 2-Star Mount Speed Requirements

    There are a total of 17 ARR maps that qualify for 2-star speed. At 250 Allied Seals, this equates to 4250 total required Allied Seals. The daily Hunt Bills produce a total of (3 * 8) + (2 * 20) = 64 Seals / day, with a weekly Bill giving 100 Seals, for 548 weekly Seals. At this rate, it will take over 7 weeks to acquire 2-star Mount Speed across ARR.

    On the other hand, there are only 6 Heavensward maps qualifying for 2-star speed, at a total cost of 1500 Centurio Seals. You can earn a total of (3 * 5) + (4 * 5) + (15 * 5) = 110 Seals / day, with a weekly bill giving 100 Seals, for 870 weekly Seals. At this rate, it will take under 2 weeks to acquire 2-star Mount Speed across Heavensward. I'm not even counting the additional Centurio Seals available from Kugane's Mark Bills.

    To top it all off, (Veteran) Clan Marks for Heavensward / Stormblood give significant XP bonuses, whereas those for ARR do not.

    All this to say: I think the ARR requirements are a bit high. Considering the number of maps, I think the price for each should be dropped to roughly 100 Seals per map to bring it into line with Heavensward. Note that I do not advocate raising the cost of Heavensward's maps to be in line with ARR.

    Or revamp alliance seals to HW/SB style so people can use those as XP boost, and for the love of god, remove mobs from fates.

    That would help, yes. I still think over 7 weeks is too long regardless, but at least it wouldn't be adding insult to injury quite so much if the FATE monsters were removed and there was some other semi-useful reward from them.

    Well, if you ask me I will just get rid of alliance seals and just use centurio.

    I remember reading on reddit that the speed increases only apply to ground mount movement. If that's true then the T2 speeds for Heavensward aren't worth getting. :\

    But for the topic of cost; I don't think we really need T2 speed for all ARR zones. Some of the zones aren't large enough to necessitate needing T2 Speed, Upper LA and North Shroud being the best examples. Most of these zones you barely visit nowadays, outside of doing Hunts, Beast Tribes, and maybe some Unspoiled Nodes or Big Fish.

    I'm currently prioritizing the largest ARR zones for my Allied Seals. Currently have East Shroud and South Than at T2, with my next ones being CCH, Lower LN, and Central Shroud. After those large zones I'll probably just buy Zones I go through somewhat often.

    EDIT #1: Another thing I forgot to mention was A-ranks. With the new level cap it'll be a breeze soloing a majority of A-rank mobs for more Allied Seals, assuming you're not trying to fight an annoying one like Maat without stuns/silences.

    I am not sure if HW A rank monsters are soloable now at 70, but 2.0 areas, the A ranks where soloable for a while.

    The cost is not high if you get yourself a hunt ls and seek A/S ones. I am shocked people do the daily bills, it is not worth your time at all. I only kill them when I come across them doing something else, like how I got 2 different ones while them being the fate monsters leveling a job.

    I agree about the relevance piece, for both Heavensward and ARR. That said, I feel it actually reinforces my point; I feel these are supposed to be fun upgrades that should require a bit of effort, but not much. For Heavensward, I feel this holds. For ARR areas, it feels like a significant grind, whether augmenting the daily Bills with A-Rank monsters or not. And, on principle at this point, I feel the effort required for ARR and Heavensward should be roughly equivalent.

    It's possible SE intended otherwise, and that they designed this to be a moderately significant grind, but I disagree with that approach if that's the case.

    Edit: I know this has been said hundreds or thousands of times before, by myself and others, but I still find it f*cking ridiculous that SE maintains a 1000-character post limit on these forums. What in the godsdamned hell is wrong with longer posts?

    They still haven't nerfed the cost of ARR Allied Seal glamours. You're kidding yourself if you think they'll lower the cost of these mount speed items.

    Oh. Just realized I never found out where that second boost was. I thought it'd be some 3.0 quests that unlocked it, like the 2.0 quests did for the first boost. Guess I finally have something to spend seals on. Just gotta work on collecting more, now...

    I almost got all the ARR zones already. Half of them at SB launch.
    4000 (which is the cap) is not that hard to get actually.
