    4.0 Monk Openers

Hey so I've been doing a lot of the end game 4.0 content and wanted to get others opinion on what there openers have changed to with the introduction of Brotherhood and Riddle of Fire. So I'll start with what my opener has changed to.

Fist of Fire -> Meditation (x5) -> Form Shift (Coerl Form) -> Fire Tackle -> Demolish -> Perfect Balance -> Snap Punch -> Snap Punch -> Dragon Kick -> Riddle of Fire -> Twin Snakes -> Internal Release -> Snap Punch -> Forbidden Chakra -> Bootshine -> Brotherhood -> True Strike -> Elixir Field -> Demolish -> Howling Fist -> Dragon Kick -> Steel Peak -> Twin Snakes -> Snap Punch -> ...

You will also want to be using Forbidden Chakra any time after the use of Brotherhood. The reasoning behind holding RoF till after DK is due to at that location you will still be able to get the last SP before PB falls off.

Why not use Forbidden Chakra after the internal release? That way if you somehow get a lucky crit from that snap punch you'll get a stack of meditation for it. Riddle of Fire our gcds are long enough to double weave.

So that is also an interesting point that I haven't looked into as much in regards to doing 2 oGCDs between GCDs during RoF due to the slow. The only main reason I don't due it currently is you potentially holding back your GCDs when doing that. Also from what I've seen getting one extra chakra point won't make that much difference seeing how fast you get chakra points once brotherhood is activated in 8 man content.

This is pretty close to what I was planning on doing. I'm still keeping some semblance of my old opener but things definitely change with RoF having a longer cool down overall and its -15% speed affect on weaponskills.
Though I think I will want to try popping IR right after gaining GL III but if I can't keep up GL III, then it may be pointless to have it in that order. Plus, even with the damage increase from IR from that point it may only be marginal and not worth the loss.

I'm hoping that stacking SS will help though.

I've been finding that a double bootshine after the first twin snakes works well now that touch of death is gone. You could probably replace the snap punch there so you still benefit from an auto crit with 1 second or so left on Perfect Balance. You even have 2 extra seconds now to refresh stacks so delaying a refresh there shouldn't be an issue, or so I've been finding

I've been fighting Susanoo alot, me & a Fellow guildie have been talking and I've been trying this. Starts off with 5 Chakra stacks, fist of fire & Coerl Form (Duh)
    1) Shoulder Tackle > Demolish > Perfect Balance > Snap Punch > Snap Punch > Dragon Kick > RoF > Twin Snakes > Internal Release + Forbidden Chakra > Snap Punch > Brotherhood > Bootshine > Howling Fist + Steel Peak > Elixer Field > True Strike > Demolish > .....
I've found that with ROF up you can double weave oGCDs inbetween attacks.
I've been considering saving internal release until ROF is down so you can get the most GCDs in with it as a way to boost Chakra gain after ROF + Brotherhoods generation go down that way you'd have 35 seconds of heightened chakra generation from the start of the fight. Also been thinking about using tornado kick at the start of the fight near the end of ROF once I get to 3rd form since alot of buffs will be running out near then the burst of damage might be worth it but not able to tell yet.
