Pvp is so fun, I don't know why people wouldn't want to partake in it. What is the point of playing a game if you're not actually going to play the game?
As a healer I wish people wouldn't AFK so that there's more people to heal and push lines. The more people playing the better and not only are those people not having fun while they're queued up, they're spoiling the fun for everyone else. I get that some people get off on ruining things for other people, so I hope that SE gives us better tools to deal with them and doesn't do something else like nerf the exp gain. Getting the same amount of exp if you win or lose is really encouraging to keep trying even if you are new and not very good, and I worry that jerks are going to ruin that for everyone.
They need to tier the xp rewards based on how you finish, I had someone AFK and rest of party didn't seem to care and was actively trying to lose.

I can't begrudge people who afk in pvp because the incentives equally reward winners and losers. The exp is the same and even if you lose, the amount of wolf marks you obtain is still substantial enough that you don't have to do much of frontlines to obtain the glams you want. The only difference between now and before is that it has drawn more players in, for better or worse but let's not kid ourselves into thinking the pvp of before drew in mostly people who want to win.
As long as SE doesn't make pvp more centric around merit (with the proper incentives) rather than accessibility, you're always going to have those who are in it without a need to win.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
For anyone possibly rationalizing this kind of behavior, remember this if/when you have people afking/getting locked out of fights in the new alliance raid or intentionally performing poorly in future PvE content, yet rolling on rewards. To accept it one way is to accept it in general.
I mean, can't blame em right? You get the same reward if you afk in the raid then need on the loot. It's all okay. Right? Right!?For anyone possibly rationalizing this kind of behavior, remember this if/when you have people afking/getting locked out of fights in the new alliance raid or intentionally performing poorly in future PvE content, yet rolling on rewards. Simple solution, EXP is scaled based on your placement in the match.
Frontlines
1st. 100%
2nd: 50%
3rd: 25%
Feast
Winning team: 100%
Losing team: 50%
Furthermore, a 30 second auto kick is implemented for those who do not move or perform an action once released from the starting ring.

If you add that XP reduction then you need to remove the chat from frontlines too. And, If you ask me, should be something like this:Simple solution, EXP is scaled based on your placement in the match.

2nd: 50%
3rd: 25%
Feast
Winning team: 100%

1)100%
2)75%
3)50%

Please don't even joke about this...
On my data centre, we don't have this problem and it sounds utterly terrible. The one time in my entire PVP career I've seen someone AFK, I just vote kicked them and everyone agreed immediately. We have occasional base guarding but everyone is present and responsive, not leeching while running into a wall. I'm against only incentivising combat because it discourages people from playing tactically, like kill achievements rather than support achievements which make it impossible to get enough healers over an alliance (glad to see I can now snipe people on my healer regularly at last).
Since Wolf Marks are only for show now and they've crippled anything that had any kind of prestige attached other than solo Feast rewards now, maybe only give Wolf Marks to the winners? The experience and tomestones should be more than enough reward for losing. I imagine this will die down eventually but some people will want to leech all of their jobs to 70 this way, and that will take a while.

yes that solution would be great for helping people who already love doing pvp and have full armor and everything else. What about those who are new to it and want a fair and equal chance too?Simple solution, EXP is scaled based on your placement in the match.

in other words its biased towards those who have been doing it longer.
