    It's furthering an in-joke SE did back during the 'Rising' event in 2015, where two NPCs in the Eighteenth Floor (the Developer's Room) were discussing "what comes after white and black? Red? Or Blue?" Naturally everyone took that to mean that it's a thinly veiled hint that SE were still deciding which mage Job to add next, RDM or BLU. Clearly RDM won out.

    Because Yoshi-P repeatedly stating why Blue Mage wouldn't be a thing in FFXIV apparently isn't enough.....

    That's quite an exaggeration about him ONCE saying that he wasn't sure how Blue Mage could work in FFXIV. And even that's a pretty pitiful foundation to rest "BLU will never come" on - Yoshi P doesn't NEED to know how BLU could work in the game. He's got a whole staff of developers on hand to consult to work something out, once the decision is made to go ahead and do it.

    BLU is still definitely a possibility for this game. RDM was chosen for this expansion explicitly because its popularity with the fanbase. BLU is also extremely popular with the fanbase, and so will undoubtedly come in due time.
