Ifrit fight said the same thing. But you also needed to turn in tapers to get the Key Item if you wanted another chance at the weapons. Maybe that step is gone for the Moogle fight.
The First Law of Roegadynics: "A Roegadyn may not injure a Lalafell or, through inaction, allow a Lalafell to come to harm."

Well you need the key items or w/e to get a weapon, so if you going to fight Moogle for Weapons (which is most likely), you'd need to kills NM's every time, no?
You have to kill all 5 NMs everytime you re-enter after winning previously. Otherwise no loot. =(

I know it's easy to avoid them, as long as you're on the side of the "hallway", but the problem is the Spiteful spriggan NM who roams along that corridor, and pretty much only stops within just enough distance for those trees to rough us up half-way through killing him. It's fun. It is definately uniting our server Lindblum to down the NM's together. We take turns and help one another.
Funny thing is, it's not hard to avoid the gaze of the spriggans. And you have to time the engage on the NM just right so nothing links. Overall it's fun.
As I said, even just 1 tree would be tough during this, and they added an abundance of them that can potentially wipe your entire party if they aren't doing things right. Yes, a hazard of the game, I understand, but I still believe it undermines the strength of the Primals just a tad.

Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them. In essence, if you want to try and change someone's mind, come up with a well thought-out response and don't be a dick.
wanna know a good way to not link mobs?
Not being in a party. thats a damn good way to not link anything.
Wouldn't dare expect anyone to think things through though. God forbid.
Party up when you reach your destination people![]()

If anything needs to be removed it's the cross-monster type linking. ie. spriggans linking with trees. I thought that was being removed at some point. Otherwise it's fine to have to fight random trash or NMs in amongst the trees, you just have to do it carefully.
Yea, I found the quest tedious... which I hope was not their intent. There are a few things they could do to make it less tedious while preserving the difficulty:
- The mobs we must kill should not link with the Keepers
- Implement active mode walking
- Actually, Keepers have a method of aggroing. They just should not link at all.
Having said that, it was exciting... but that will not last. Walking is not a fun mechanic (remember how happy we were with Chocobos, that was a dead giveaway that we don't like slow travel). Also, strategically dropping and reforming party in order to stop links is not a fun mechanic. I don't understand why they couldn't just give us difficult fights which challenge us to master the new system.
Completely agree, its nice to see the teamwork, but I think everyone would have preferred a challenging system where you actually have to defeat the trees vs walking around avoiding them. If I have to repeat that after the win I doubt I'll be doing the moogle fight very much.Yea, I found the quest tedious... which I hope was not their intent. Meh, I actually appreciate the mob reaction they've put into this situation. It's a new mechanic they're showing off, I'd like to see similar in NM/dungeon encounters, there's many things they could do with this.
