Lvl 60 Boost to Play Samurai for Realm Reborn MSQ

Greetings. Iam a new player that picked the game up to play a samurai. Got to lvl 33 on my Ninja so far and loving the game but hating the class. Now that lvl 60 boost for 20 bucks caught my eye.

My Question is: If I buy the lvl 60 boost and boost a Monk, pick up the samurai class can I just continue my MSQ at lvl 33 where I left it of with my ninja without ever worrying to be underleveld for the next part of the MSQ? And do I start at lvl 30 with my Samurai (which would totaly be cool) or am I lvl 50 now? :O

Thanks for reading and iam eager to await your answers

Yes you can, as SAM requires a class or Job at level 50 before you can unlock it. I'm not sure if story completion is a requirement though, but the job boost potions will more than satisfy the level requirement.

Not anymore. They did remove the prior requirement that stated, that you would need a level 50 character and finish the dungeons/trials cape westwind, praetorium and castrum. Now it's only one level 50 character.

However back to the topic, while you can use a level boosting potion and as stated above, this would give you access to the new jobs, if you purchased storm blood, your story quest will not automatically update as well. So that means, you could continue with your level 33 Ninja and follow the story line all the way to 50 or 60, or you could pick up any other job including the new jobs, and continue the level 33 story line from there.

But here's the question I am asking, if you would boost a character to 60 with the potion, and then continue doing the MSQ with your lower level, what was the point of the potion then, since you can currently only use 1 potion per service account. Your Ninja would be level 50 in no time, still giving you then the option to pick up the new Job if that's what you are craving.

If you would use the potion you will have to go back with either your newly level 60, or any other job including the new ones, and do the story line that you now have extremely out leveled.

It's your money do how you please, but I do think that it's a waste if you asking my opinion, because you can get to level 50 real quick and you wouldn't have to spend 2 weeks backtracking in MSQ and Job Quests, if you would have just done it with your current character to begin with. Therefore you are not really saving any time here, if that was the concern, and if it's just for entering the new areas, well you won't be able to do that either, till you catches up on story quest, which at this point are over 500+ quests for you.

At the end you're out of 20 bucks and didn't gain anything, besides frustration and being totally overwhelmed lol

Thank you both very much for your answers My only point was that i realy dont like the gameplay of my ninja. But i realy DO like the Story so far thats why I want to continue it. If I can in fact continue the Story with a lvl 50 Samurai instead of my lvl 33 Ninja I would not mind to be overleveled. I like that even more because i can safe sidequests without having to worry that iam underleveled for my next MSQ part.

When I Boost a Monk to 60 and recieve the ilvl 258 stuff for it I should be able to use that said equipment on my Samurai once he hits 60 am i right?

@LunaFaye Iam thankful for your concerns and will take them into consideration. Iam not that patient but I dont want to RUSH through the experience eigther I just want to maximize my fun and I have high hopes for the Samurai class and simply cant wait to play it. And now there is this possibility to play it early without losing any Story progression that sounded just to good to be true

Here's what I did prior to the release of storm blood. I created a new character, since I wanted to see if leveling that way, would be faster when SB comes around, then doing it the regular way.

I created a Conjurer, since tanks and healers get instant queue most of the time, when it comes to dungeons. I did the story line to level 17, this is story line level not actual character level, because with the exp increase, you're way above that level, in my case it was level 25. Unlocked palace of the dead, spend 2 in game days not real days (in my case since i had time on my hand, it was 9.5 hrs), got my conjurer from 25 - 50. Kept my story quest at level 17.

Picked up red mage as the expansion released, and then did the story quest, that were still at the lower level with it. Hence I do know that unless you're buying a main scenario skip potion, your story line quest as well as the side quests, will be still there even tho you're much higher level.

But again do as you please, I was just throwing that out there, because some people do not realize that with the extremely increased exp, it takes only a couple of hours/days to get to that level, depending how much time you can and want to invest.

But yes if you would go the route of the level skip potion, by the time your Samurai makes it to 60, you'll be able to equip your monk's gear, since both jobs share the same equipment. GL

Sounds to me like it should fit your bill. You're getting it for a job that at least has the same gear, having the leveled job unlocks SAM, SAM starts at 50 so you're free to keep rolling with the story where you're at. You'll be overleveled, technically, but the dungeons and trials are mostly all synced anyway. Or you'll have the option to just change your settings to allow undersized parties, and see if you can solo the dungeons unsynced. (though at 33, you're probably about at the point where that starts getting difficult. As a 50 BLM, I got stopped at Brayflox when I just couldn't get the dragon down before the poison stacks took me)

    Back to OP,
and if you're going to buy a 60 boost, buy it for a job you'll actually want to play at some point. Why buy it for NIN if you don't like the NIN playstyle when you could buy it for something you're actually interested in playing later?

Is there a tank or healer that you've tried that you might find fun when you want to do a quick roulette and don't want to wait in queue as a DD?

If you have a lvl 60 toon and want to roll either of the new classes, good luck because the new class will be lvl 50 and to low for stormblood missions.....also, if you have finished all content through Heavensward...where are you going to find missions/quests to level the new level 50 class....this is the situation I find myself in at present, rolled the Sam with my level 60 Bard and cant figure out how to level the Sam.
I don't think they thought this out to well, their concept works great IF you are currently level 50 lets you continue grinding levels to 60 where you can take stormblood quests....
sucks to be me...and others too I'm assuming
PS, I don't want hear "do fates for 10 levels"....

Palace of the dead is your friend, If you have that level 60 class, or even just class that's a level or more higher than your current one (lvl 50 sam), you get immense exp bonus after finishing the floors. Queue time is quick, within minutes if not even within seconds, and you can later on get a level 60 weapon out of that, even tho with the SB expansion right now, you won't need it since you are getting it from the MSQ itself. Give it a try, specially if you've finished the HW content already and just want to level that new or any other jobs further down the line. It doesn't take long to get the 10 levels.
