Keyboard wont input without mouse click

Hiya, when playing on my new laptop, for some reason ffxiv wont always accept keyboard inputs (like wasd movment) like they just cut out. it will always work if I have the left or right mouse button held down. anyone seen this issue or have any ideas on what I can do to fix them?

Its only ffxiv, all my other games are fine. and of course I typed this up just fine aswell.

My laptop have the GeForce Experirence installed and running in the background if that has anything to do with it. since I can move with my mouse clicked, it kinda acts like when i'm not clicked, my computer doesn't know that when I hit w I mean to go forward, like that w key is going to another program

I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling
