Split Balmung into 2 separate servers

Back in 1.0 there were several server mergers. A lot of the servers we have now didn't exist by the names they have now. The original server I was on was Rabanastre which got turned into Durandal and then Durandal got split in half to form Hyperion.

I was just thinking of the merge of an FFIV city with an FFX city to make a weapon.

How about no? That is a bad idea. As is all other variants of forced server-splits.

How about people shut up and deal with the queue, while SE did allow this too long it the player base that created the problem.

I would think they just need Free transfer away from Balmung and Gilgamesh Same with the over populated JP servers. Then depending on which server they move to give them 1-2 Months Free.

IE if someone on Balmung moves to the lowest 2 populated servers give a person transferring 2 months free along with a free transfer away. If they move to 3-4 least populated server 1 months free. If they move to any other server no free months just free transfer away.

I think that is the only way you will get enough people to make a move to make a difference.

Also, my wife doesn't care she is in the hospital with 2 broken legs, will October in which case all this craziness will be over with. On that note in this time I am playing and will get a head of her which means I'm not in a supper big rush to do, so the queue don't bug me but not being able to do the 1st instance in SB was a little bit of an issue.

Well native players (1.0 players) or people that joined at the start of 2.0 shouldn't be the ones that have to get and "get the boot" so yes the people that help cause the problem (ones that transferred in when server was locked to new characters) should be the ones that booted to a new server.

As long as there are free transfers, the super long queue times will do the job on their own. The problem will resolve itself when those who do not want to wait leave for another server.
