And just because the 'problem' will smooth out eventually doesn't mean we can't encourage SE to do a better job for the next time they need to implement the afk kick.
Close up those exploits so that in the future it is fair for everyone.

I encourage SE to Force transfer half the population of Balmung and Gilgamesh across lower population servers with full housing reimbursement while keeping FCs together. The heavy stress placed on the NA DataCenters by these 2 worlds is unacceptable and effects a playerbase larger than both worlds populations combined.

Players have been exploiting creation restrictions for years on these servers.

Doing this makes the entire NA Datacenters balanced out and is objectively better and fair for everyone.

You do realize there easy ways around that? All I have to do is go to my room and put a small object on the d key, and I move around in a circle with no AFK timer activated. The same can be done with controllers. You just put a string over one of the joysticks, so you are constantly moving.

You are not going to stop people going AFK. Bans will not solve the issue. It is within our right to go AFK if we need too. I found my mouse moves with my fan vibrating which helps me avoid the 30m timer when I need to AFK to get something done, or make food. However I am also on a small server that has at most 20 person queues to log in.....So even if it did kick me, I'd be back in less than a minute.

That's why they have an auto-logout system in every other instance of being away in the game, along with a punishment system for withdrawing from duties, an inability to enter dungeons in a job other than that which you queued in, anti-cheat measures in general, passwords to log in to the game, and so on.

Those were not ingame since the beginning, but added during the time. Because the western players showed them that not all play like the japanese players.

After 4 days of waiting in que for 3+ hours just to play for 2-3 hours because I have a normal job, I'm constantly logging in in the morning and bringing up the aetheryte/whatever menu to stay logged in. If you don't feel right doing it, you be you, but I'm not paying to wait in que half of my normal playtime. They won't ban anyone for it, and if you don't like waiting for now either you can move or SE needs to upgrade their servers, they're the one that saw the congestion on HW launch and still let people come onto these high populated servers through payment or late night workarounds

I was doing the exact same, I finally had enough and took advantage of the transfer incentives. The log in queues weren't the sole reason for my transfer but it was a contributing factor.
