Summoner [Suggestions] : Since we are able to summon Bahamut .. [LIMIT BREAK / PETS]

Can we change the summoner more to "Final Fantasy canon" and get rid of these "egi World of Warcraft Warlock" appearance of the pets?

Just smaller and ghosty "avatar" versions (im not asking for the huge size of a demi-bahamut) that are imbued with the power of the original primals:

    IMPROVE THE VISUALS
    - (character size)

MAKE ALL SUMMONER PETS MORE USEFUL IN GROUPS

Giving each pet a more specific role so that not only garuda egi is used for 80% of the time. For example to strenghten the role of ifrit being an AoE pet which you would take out in a dungeon with a huge amount of adds to improve your AoE damage.

Ramuh as a new summon could fullfill the role of a DoT pet which has a DoT spell on its own, a stun spell, and the former Garuda skill to increase the duration of Damage over time spells. A pet you would take out if you have an other smn with you to improve your both damage over time. If you have lots of black mages or red mages with you and you are in a boss fight you maybe better go with garuda for single magic damage and magic defense debuff.

If you have many melee characters in group you may go with carbuncle which now deals "light damage" like he does in every FF title he appears in (FFXIV is the only exception). He then either can debuff the enemies physical defense or even support the group with supporting spells like "shining ruby" to improve the magic/phys. defense which would be great if you expect high burst damage (for example primal boss ultimates). So that it may even good if you change your pets within one battle.

    etc. pp

    To prevent some standard reactions:
"It is against the lore to summon Garuda, Ifrit and co."
No it is not since these would be just avatar versions and not the real "gods/primals". Avatars would be ghostly appearances that are imbued by the power of the primals.

Just as we experience it now with the demi-Bahamut avatar which is a smaller and "shiny" version of the Bahamut original primal.

"but huge pets would disturb the party members"
We have had real Final Fantasy Summons in FF1 up to FFXV - and even in the Final Fantasy 11 Online title no one ever complained that the summons being to "huge" or annoying. Additionally i dont ask for the size of the demi-Bahamut which got implemented recently, more of the size of a normal character.

Secondly its up to the developers if they make much much smaller versions that arent disturbing at all - additionally they could make it a "glamour thing" how they did it with carby already.

    LIMIT BREAK III

Last but not least the change of LIMIT BREAK III: since the summoner's role is to summon i would rather take a limit break 3 that fits a real Final Fantasy summoner where it randomly "summons" a small version of the primal using his "ultimate" (e.g. Ifrit > "Hellfire"; Ramuh > "Judgment Bolt" etc.)
The animations already exist and maybe it is possible to change these to a smaller size as well.

Egi can stay as they are (or improved just a little bit). What would be nice is a demi-glamour to change Bahamut into other almost-full-sized primals but does the exact same thing.

Sorry to say but... what is good about this?!:

when this was possible in a PS2 online game:

I only come to the conclusion that pets like these are liked by people who arent connected to Final Fantasy at all or that are used to pets like these:

A Final Fantasy summoner's ESSENCE is his summon.
Final Fantasy summons are no "trash pets" to do just "some additional damage" next to you.

What would be nice is a demi-glamour to change Bahamut into other almost-full-sized primals but does the exact same thing.
Dont get me wrong... but glamour "things" are the LAST stop for me personally.
Glamouring a pet kills totally the immersion of the world and the atmosphere. it ignores COMPLETELY everything of what Final Fantasy is about and the lore. Glamouring is good for clothes, but surely not for characters/personallities or FF summons..

If you glamour a carbuncle to shoot WIND MAGIC (Carbuncle's element is LIGHT(!) normally!! he casts support spells) or shiva casting laser beams like Bahamut ... i really dont get how people can rely SO LESS on story and lore of final fantasy!

What i see is that SE is straighten up their job classes to be more "FF" right now. and dude.. there would be so much work to make the SMN more "FF'ish." im fine with it that he does his major damage with own spells and DoTs.. but just give him the "damn" looks.. and not something like this rolling stone:

this has NOTHING to do with -the- titan in the slightest. Even if its called "egi" .. calling it "titan egi" is an insult, it moreover should be called "rolling stone"

I think people might actually start complaining about the Bahamut summons. TBH I played through the MSQ and seen it in action quite a few times and one thing sticks to mind for me anyway...Bahamut is way too big for people like me who like to pull the camera view out. Bahamut basically blocks your view.

That WoW Warlock dig is quite inaccurate. Not only is that Voidwalker model identical in every way to the regular Voidwalker mobs, Warlocks also get some very visually fancy Demons also. Even going back to vanilla WoW, Warlock Demons were identical to the NPC versions.

WoW aside, The solution is 1 single config option:
    ---Show Simple Summon
    ---Show Full Summon

If you want to see a full and proper Titan/Garuda/Ifrit/etc model for your (or party members) Egis, select "Show Full Summon". This would turn on the full appearance of that Egi. The Simple option would show the Egis as they look now. Graphically simple versions to reduce screen clutter and improve performance on low end machines.

There is also the possibility that SE has the Summoner planned to get full sized Egis in the XI style in a future expansion. I could definitely see Summoners getting a series of traits that improve the version of Egis that they get in a similar way to Bard DoTs getting upgraded via Trait.

They cant possibly use screen clutter as an excuse, as I'm often lost inside my own Samurais skill effects. Add Mages into the mix and its difficult to even see the target if its not a boss or large mob. Which is why we have the option to turn off those effects. I don't see why Egis couldn't get the same treatment.

Easy fix, the ability to turn off other peoples bahamuts in the settings menu, we can already turn off ability animations.

Yeah, the clutter/size thing they gave as an excuse made sense when we first went to 2.0, but it just continues to lose validity.

In melee combat in FATEs and 24-person raids I can't see anything with all effects turned on, and it isn't because of some Ifrit-Egis clogging it up, that's for sure. And outside of combat a bigger and/or more detailed summon doesn't even approach that caused by what is now a majority of mounts in the game.

Well thats actually what i thought when i saw bahamut in the trailer. Yes he is way too big a little bit.

Im not asking for the summons being the size of Bahamut. just having the appearance of their counterparts and being slightly "normal human size". like you see in the first two pictures which i created above:

The solution would be to make Egi's the actual "glamour model" and the summon avatar appearance the standard form.
i think this size wouldnt block the sight of anybode since they have the sitze of maybe a big roegadyn model.

Summon appearance aside what do you think about the Limit Break III idea to actually be able as a summoner to summon demi-Ifrit to perform e.g. "Inferno" etc? Instead of us summoners growing some "bat/Bahamut" wings. which is quiet odd if you think about a FF summoner.

Better fix: adjust his size to be smaller, since he is not a real bahamut.. his size could be reduced much more.
