Not until our preferred worlds get filled, most likely.

This precisely. The thing with EU worlds is that they are (more or less) homogeneously spread.
In NA, you have a handful that are awfully full and a handful that are awfully not. Why would they add another world when you have four that are perfectly capable of handling the population needs?
I mean, heck, Omega is a new world and I already saw a (legit) queue of 137 people logging in at night, on a week day. It makes sense they'd add another world.

I kinda doubt it since we have so many low populated servers atm.

We don't really need more worlds. What we need is another datacenter to split the existing worlds between and relieve the load on the shared instance servers.

No we don't need another data center split, we need people on the over populated servers to actually use the freebies and move to less populated servers and spread the load around better.
SE just moved the data and upgraded everything and they still can barely handle the load. The server populations aren't balanced.

Moving to another world is not going top relieve much congestion. The bottlenecks are in system resources shared across the datacenter and all worlds in that datacenter compete for those resources. There are a couple of ways to resolve this. The first would be dynamic load balancing and allocation to dynamically add or remove instance servers as needed. FF XIV appears to be static in these areas and it appears SE doesn't want to spend the money to update their platform to be dynamic. Since the environment is static create another datacenter and balance the population to match the available shared resources. If they were to locate it on the East Coast as well this would resolve some of the latency issues seen by Central and South American customers as well.No we don't need another data center split, we need people on the over populated servers to actually use the freebies and move to less populated servers and spread the load around better.

If you look at the status list, you'll see why EU got another one. Every other world, including Omega, is marked with an x, which (although they don't explicitly say anywhere) seems to indicate those are the worlds experiencing high loads, long queues, and probably some restrictions on new characters atm. So, they legitimately needed the extra space.
JP seems to have some room still on any server except the already congested ones, while NA is seeing some servers hit that "not quite congested but still pretty full" limit.
