Whether you have 300 or 1000 skill speed, number of auto attacks in a given period remains the same. Patch notes said that Skill Speed would affect auto-attacks. Is this working as intended?

Greetings,
To clarify, Skill Speed does not increase the rate of auto-attacks, but increases the damage of auto-attacks. Apologies for the patch notes not being clear!

So back to dumping all of NIN's materia slots into Crit then? :-D
It would have been way more interesting if Skill Speed effected attack rate. >w>
Actually, the Patch Notes says: "Skill speed now also affects auto-attacks."
As well as the in-game tool-tip for Skill Speed states: "Affects both casting and recast timers, as well as the damage over time potency for weaponskills. The higher the value, the shorter the timers/higher the potency."
It seems extremely strange for "Skill Speed" to suddenly equate to "Auto-Attack Potency."
EDIT: In addition, the more Skill Speed you stack in game, the tool-tips still say it's lowering Recast times on Global Cool Downs.
Please clarify.

The English tooltip is wrong. Simple as that. It affects damage of auto-attacks.

Please explain Greased Lightning and Fey Wind then.
It seems there's a bit of ambiguity left in the wording, honestly. Because I doubt at this point they're going to revamp a system that is -still- functional and affecting recast timers if it wasn't already done so at launch. More likely, we're looking at an addition to the Skill Speed tool-tip in the Character window of Auto-Attack damage being affected by Skill Speed.
This thread points towards only auto-attacks not being affected by Skill Speed, which I can kind of get, but still seems weird.
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Tell the battle team to step outside of their comfort zone. Having skillspeed be slightly more effective for sword oath and ninjas would not have been the end of the world.
Any news about ps4 issue? Please help with that I cant even save my download progress when is aroun 1,5 gb from 22.7 and the internet connection is disconnect.. I cant play
Really lame since it would have been awesome with the NIN trait.
That's a shame to hear, would be nice if NIN had more ways to influence their gauge aside from Mug.
