    Crashing in windowed mode.

    For some strange reason my game always crashes when i play in windowed mode. Has anyone else had this problem and knows how to fix it?

    Sorry if this has been a previous topic i searched and could not find anything.

    Can't really say if it's due to windowed mode as I've always played in it, but yeah, the game's started crashing a lot again. It does that periodically. Last bad time I remember was around the Firefall Faire, sometimes couldn't stay logged in for two minutes before it crashed. Thankfully it's not so bad now... But I still get 1-3 crashes every day I play, since 1.20 or so.

    Ahh same thing happens to me unless i play full screen and if you do that you cant alt tab to do anything else.

    Yeah as far as I know this has been a problem since day one. It's a directx related error that happens when the video input is interrupted, i.e. alt + tab or in some cases the actual cable being disconnected.

    I don't know if OP is talking about something new, though, because I really haven't had the above problem in windowed mode.

    Giving no details will rarely get you a solution...

    What OS are you running?
    What does it say when it crashes (or does it say anything at all)?
    What graphics card are you using?
    ...and any other information you think might be relevant.

    Running windows 7 graphics card is Geforce gt425m and as for the error message it just says direct x cannot be detected. Never crashes in full screen though its weird.

    Very strange, I don't have any ideas, but you might have some luck if you post in the Tech Support section. I don't know who would check in there but not check in here, but it's worth a shot if you want. At least one mode works.
