Fsh Level 68 Quest

I'm not sure what to do for this quest. For some reason, like all the other Fsh quests for SB, they give you a fish to fish up (or spear), that you can't normally get if you're not on that quest. The problem is they don't tell you how to get it or even where to actually get it. I'm stuck on this quest because I've used all the available bait at this level for quite some time and haven't gotten a single thing and you're supposed to HQ this fish. I even tried spear fishing in the waters with all three gig heads and nothing. Does anyone know what I'm missing?

Would you be able to share your info for fisher level 65 quest? I thought it was in Isle of Bekko fishing but ive not seen it. Is there a weather condition? Or am I supposed to be spearfishing lol

Sure thing! I just hit 70 (I think first on Gilga xP). It isn't the isle of Bekko. It's literally right next door, Shaol Isle (or w/e). Like a 20 second walk. You have to read the quest text to get that information.

Yea, the Fsh quests are super misleading.

Go to the Sunken Junk and spearfish for ichthyosaurs (large gig) with Truth of the Oceans active. As you catch more ichthyosaurs, the game will do some emotes about shadows gathering and intensifying, which will result in a swimming shadows pool forming (similar to an unspoiled botany/mining node). Truth of the Oceans will point you in the direction of that. There you can catch the quest fish. I still used a large gig and that worked fine. I'm not sure if it spawns in random spots, but while the Sunken Junk is at roughly (9, 34), my dafangshi node was at (38, 36).

I finally figured it out.
spear fishing around 11, 35. the sunken Junk

With truth of oceans active
keep catching Ichthyosaur and you will notice a message stating you sense movement in the shadows. keep doing this until the swimming shadows spawns. i managed to get 2 on my first spawn.

I did all of these with the large gig head

Thanks a bunch guys! To confirm, you can catch the 70 fsh quest fish via normal fishing using a Bream lure (50 Red Scrips in RR)

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have caught 15 Ichthyosaur and got one message on the shadows forming and then nothing else. I did not see it point me to a direction. What should I have done? That was over 30 minutes ago.
