Can't seem to get past 50 FPS - tips?

Have followed a lot of the advice given here, to some good results - thanks all who helped! I have turned down the settings and I'm now playing the game in DirectX 11, but even in open-world and dungeons I can't crack 60.

Is this just a GPU bottleneck, or is there some super secret-tech that I am not privy to that might help me out?

My system specs are :

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.6GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 8106MB RAM

running Windows 10. Geforce 960M. FF14 on an SSD.

is your Operating system 32 bit system or 64bit? 64bit should get you over 50, make sure you have your video card matches your needs and is up to date both program and driver. over clock it to a safe point helps a bit too.

64 bit, have updated everything. I know nothing about OCing though

You can go into your video cards control panel and modify the graphical settings there and then beyond that you can change the in game graphics settings. Since your GPU is a M, im assuming you are on a laptop, as well your GPU is a 960 which is on the lower end of the 900 series so I wouldn't expect the world either. Shouldn't be a memory problem, just play around with both graphics settings and you should be good to go.

Do you mind listing your in game graphic settings? Also have you changed any setting in your nvidia control panel?
You should be able to get above 50 with some tweaking. What are you fps at the lowest settings?

Indeed he/she listed the GPU as NVIDIA 960M, which is very week. What are the graphics settings used?
