Please designate an official RP server.

As it stands, it looks like we're not getting a new server until populations even out. That means that Goblin, Mateus, Coeurl, and Zalera each have to gain something like 3-5k players before we'll be getting a new server.

Also, right now is the absolute worst time for them to create a new RP server, as people would jump onto it just for the fact it's a new world.

I honestly wouldn't mind that.

If the a quarter of Balmung's population migrated to a smaller server, it'd make a difference. I'd certainly go as it was also my main draw as well. But it's a thing decided by the players usually and XIV is not the first to have a user-designated RP server ( some have multiples, it's not impossible to pull off ).

Whatever server people would pick could perhaps be nicknamed "Balmung-lite" or something of the sort.

I am an Rper first and foremost. I have been on Balmung since around the launch of ARR because it is the unofficial rp server. I will not ever transfer off unless it is to an official RP server with free transfers. There are those trying to start another alternative rp server on Matteus but it is simply not going to work. Roleplayers are always drawn to the main RP server because alternative ones never survive.

Yoshi said that he's afraid that putting labels on servers would divide the players.
If non RPers were on an RP server they would be considered outcasts because it's an RP server, not a non-RP server.
They were going to think more about it. But as it sounded for now it's not something we'll get soon anyway.

Read your own words, you are not taking the initiative at all and are part of the problem.

How do you think it became the "UNofficial RP Server"? People that took the initiative before you even decided to play this game back in 1.x.

Attitudes like this will just make SE force transfer Balmung players with no choice if this continues.

Making this kind of comparison is massively ignorant.

"Taking the initiative" when there is no pre-existing condition is fairly easy. Changing an extremely established situation four years in is a lot more complex than just "taking the initiative."

If a RP tag is to be given, it should be given to Balmung. That's where Final Fantasy XV's large and very active RP community decided to dwell, and dwelled for four years. Square Enix would do much better recognizing the effort that the RP community put into building something active and fun, offering free transfers and tangible incentives for those who don't care for RP to transfer off Balmung.

Making this comparison is ignorant when the majority of your server's population isn't RP, many of which have dwelled on Balmung since 1.18, NA and EU players.
