    I would prefer they change things rather than outright delete them. Especially white mage things, since they pruned the heck out of it already.

    And protect is probably fine it just doesn't belong in the role ability list. Especially since you can apparently bypass that with a macro, which just makes the devs look incompetent.

    The best part is you can cast Protect at the start of a dungeon and swap to a different role ability and the protect stays on. Classic.

    I just usually swap it back to Cleric Stance since why not. I feel this makes Protect even more mandatory to use than ever as it's a skill you can use without it even costing you a role ability.

    Yes, because using a defense buff once every 30 minutes, not counting deaths, is totally gonna lead to EZ GAEM. Could at least try some proper bait to make your post exciting.

    Hell, if no one dies in the instance, you could just swap Protect for a different Role Action that will see more than one cast in a dungeon. Do you not see an issue with that? Protect should be more active in the mitigating department or just be added to our character stats.

    Iam fine with the way protect now, it just like those long buff in typical mmorpg, wow with that 60m buff something like that.

    I would however like if they get rid protect time, so in party healer cast protect and thats it, protect stay with you until either you die or you leave dungeon (or party if you are outside dungeon)

    Or better, protect have additional effect like xx% chance to not inflict you with weakness debuff if you die but only work once or any interesting additional effect

    Buffs like that doesn't really fit in a customization system tho.. it should be native to a job (or all jobs), and shouldn't actually count towards the skill-count a job is designed for.

    Imo they should've let all jobs have a unique permanent party/alliance wide buff.
    For example
    WHM have a -10% damage dmg taken for the party,
    WAR +5% physical dmg done
    SCH +1% critical chance
    and so on to promote having many different jobs in a party/alliance.

    Non-stacking, so having 2 WHM do only give -10%.

    gotcha. I can totally agree, that it shouldn't be a healer role skill, rather a skill that all healers learn very early, along with their basic cure, physick, benefic spells. Its definitely not something to be removed from the game though.

    So here's my feedback: Please remove it and add something more interesting to cross-role in its place. It can go to WHM in its PVP form and kill two birds with one stone.

    but since PvP now has a completely seperated skill set from PvE that's not an issue.

    Another reason to get rid of it is to make room for esuna (if they even leave that on role actions); there's already a spreadsheet that was posted to reddit listing all the instances and whether or not esuna was needed.

    And that is a sad state that we've gotten to the point of needing a reference like that.
