Cant we just pay their bills? [Quest change suggestion]

Yes, I have actually made it past Raubahn and continued my journey in Stormblood! I'm doing so with around 3 million gil as "pocket money" on me and I actually dont really know how much gil my retainers are holding, I just know thats already over 100 million for one of them. Now, I dont want to brag about that, but it always feels really strange reaching points in the story when money becomes an issue and my character is just standing there, pockets filled with so much gold she should barely able to walk.

Sometimes, it makes sense to me - some bribes might be to high. Or people are to proud to take my money, stuff like that.
But yesterday I did a quest where someone lacked the money to pay for some veggies and I got send out to collect roots to pay for those - so obviously, my help was welcome. And veggies cant cost such a fortune (and yes, even on that foreign continent they would have taken gil, my questgiver was wondering wether or not she had enough gil on her! So not an explantion either)!
I'm a roleplayer but I do care a bit about my immersion and it felt very weird not being able to say "Yeah, I got this" and pay for the damn veggies. Now, ofc the game cant force you to give away your hard earned gil in order to complete such a quest - but what if you'd get the option?
In situations like this the game could easly give you the choice:
    1) Pay the vendor a certain amount of gil (could be a rather "large" sum, for all that I care)
    or
    2) Go and do the fetch/kill quest

In this particular situation I had to kill two mobs outside of the village, nothing would have been lost if I'd just paid the vendor and didnt had to do that. It would have added to immersion and a fealing of "reality" though while having the nice side effect of destroying gil (one reason for a "larger" sum - pay 50k gil or do the quest, your choice!)

Of course, not every quest has to be solveable with gil in the end, but it would be a nice little addition to get this choice from time to time!
What do you think? Would you pay ingame money to "skip" some quests? Would you even want to be able to?

The amount of side quest in this expansion is driving me crazy, and 40% of them are poor NPC wanting money...

Half the time, from what i've seen, its less a matter of them having no money to pay for food and more no food even if they HAD money, hence the request to go forage for them.
They're hungry now, they need the food now. Sure giving them money would help them, but they'd still need to travel the dangerous roads etc to get to where the food is. While half starved.
Sometimes, money just isn't the correct answer :P

Oh, I know that - you might have noticed that I dont want that for all the quests ;P

In this case mobey would have been one correct answer though: NPC stands infront of vendor, wants to buy something (that something is there), doesnt has enough money, vendor offers that NPC brings them either the money or some roots - so you get send out to get the roots. Which seems so weird when the vendor says he would accept gil aswell and you carry several millions with you.

For a lot of quests I agree - it wouldnt be the ideal solution. Teach a man how to fish and such. But for other quests it would be and I'd consider it pretty neat if the game would regonize that.
