There is a one-sided gate between the upper regions of The Fringes and The Peaks

I've not unlocked the upper regions of The Fringes and The Peaks yet through the Main Scenario. In order to access some of the higher level Botany nodes, I asked a FC mate if they could fly me up to them on their two-seater mount (cheeky, I know).

Anyway, if I try to walk from the upper area in The Fringes to the map divider which leads to the upper area in The Peaks, I'm blocked by a gate - it doesn't let me through. If I go the other way, however, from the upper area in The Peaks to the upper area in The Fringes on the other side of the map divider, there is no gate.

Upon going through the map divider from the upper area of The Peaks to the upper area of The Fringes I end up in The Fringes but cannot return because the gate is there.

The bug here is that I feel if I've unlocked both the lower areas of The Fringes and The Peaks there's either no reason for that gate to be there, or the gate should be there on both sides. Or alternatively, the bug could be that players who haven't fully unlocked map access shouldn't be allowed to fly as a passenger on a two-seater mount.
