i'm not amused ;;
i was visiting the npc with all hopes up that i would have done those many crafts to get my golden tools, just to find out that it didn't even save the lowest amount of crafts.i'm not going thru months of grinding, not again, just for some tools.

So it looks like some of the complaints fall in the category of not getting a handout. Yet whenever difficulty or pacing of content is brought up:

"We don't want a handout --"

Make up your minds lol. This is clearly designed for the long term of the game, not short term.

This doesn't seem that hard to me... You can do this and make some decent gil in the process, it's no harder than butchers crown.

i clearly put enough time into my crafts.even during a time when crafting was aloooooot more worse then it's today.

see, i'm not bitching, i'm just sad that SE didn't take their time to check up on those logs.
there are players like me that have logged in day after day to do something, even if it was just boring and brainless craft grinding.

all i'm saying, i'm not gonna put that time again into crafting recipes that are totally useless to me now.
i have achieved my goal already, not getting my tools now is a different thing.

i'll just wait for a lvl cap increase to get a tool with better stats, that's how it is.

like someone said before.by taking away part of the achievements that have already been achieved by some, you might aswell could take away all achievements.everyone that has sticked to this game this past year, actually playing it, should have a right to claim their rewards.
this is not about free hand-outs, just a way to say thank you to those playing this game, and those that want to achieve those goals in the future that didn't do it before.

When do you not stop defending Square for bad game design decisions?

I agree with captainpicard, players should've been grandfathered in based on their level. Meaning those who were level 40 should've had the 1-40 achievements already cleared, while those who were rank 50 should've had everything cleared from the get-go. This is poor game design decision on Square's part since there wasn't a system in the first place and it penalizes crafters who reached 50 before the achievement system came in.

Whatever, we got no choice now.

this has nothing to do with defending so you miss the point as usual

this has to do with people UNWILLING to do the work required to earn the acheivement

everyone starts on equal ground here, so everyone will have to work the same to reach it

and lets add in this info was known months ago wed all have to redo it(and we were specificaly told the game had no way of tracking it at that point so theres nop way for them to go back and check logs etc etc)

just like lots of other achievements people have already completed, like killing a certain amount of mobs, or going to all camps/aethers, you receive the achievement right now having already completed them, yet there is NO NEED to re-do them....

the achievment is new, you have not earned it, just like i have not earned it

so go out and get started on it, i got a few of them out of the way last night alone while you all were probly protesting how unfair it was!

its simple to think about too....you get mats for doing it, mats you can sell, or vendor, either way more money


this is about as fair as it gets, you want to be compared for work past done yes, but lets face facts here

did you really go to every region/every grade to begin with? i bet the answer is hell no you hung around 1 single zone and did it only there, which means NO ONE is qualified for them to begin with anyway

So basically, we have to start over. Doing 6000 mining, 6000 quarry, 6000 loging, 6000 harvest, 6000 spearfish & 6000 fishing.
