Luminary tools- a real achievement

Super grindy stuff encourages more botting. It is a shame people can't come up with more engaging ways to create rare gear other than making it this way. This is not really reasonable for most casual players to want to achieve. I ususally get pretty tired of crafting at around 100 synths on good days. That puts this at 2 months of crafting. I guess better than lu shangs.

This ... it's only a grinding/boring thing .. not difficult or challenging.. imho

3000 Synths? Not that bad, hell you will probably get most of that grinding your skills anyways.

The thing is that I already did my 1000000000 masks grinding carpenter and i'm defenitely not doing them again, at least not the lvl 10-40 ones.

Still people starting crafting now will end up with these items without even noticing it...

The 1-40 are smaller and easier to obtain, hell you will probably get most of those while creating materials, people need to stop with the hyperbole.

I believe that's the point of type of stuff like this in any game -- It's an obvious goal but it's something you'll get without exactly focusing on it because you'll eventually unlock it as you're going. True it may not benefit people who are beyond capped or bot to cap, (unless this one is retroactive) but remember: every update is for the long term of the game, for all we know they may adjust the numbers by time the game relaunches, or they may even add more next update with silver line of luminary tools that takes significantly less work to do.

I'm so glad the countless hours of crafting I did before this patch count for nothing and I get to go back on lvl 50 crafting jobs and try to crank out 6,000 synths for a gold hammer.

Gathering jobs are ALOT worse than Crafting... I'm 4/5 in Gridania with 120 trees (840 chops out of 4,000) I'm on day#6 now. It will take a good 3 weeks to get the my Luminary Item. ( unless your extremely hardcore and never sleep and do it 24/7 then you could do it in a week :/ lol.
