So, when you teleport yor party into the fringes for a World FATE is it too much to ask that party members get assigned to the SAME blasted instance of the zone? My wife and I cannot get into the Fringes together unless we walk in from the Reach. Maybe it's a small thing to some, but it's really, really annoying me.

There's nothing to fix. You are trying to find a loop hole in the current measurements that have been taken to avoid problems with congestion in certain areas. While it might be annoying to you, for me it would be more annoying, if everybody forms a group and just teleport's in to the zone as such. Therefore it's working as intended.

This is a known issue. They addressed it in their update. They informed players of what would happen.

Don't you think if they already knew this would come up, they would've thought to try and "fix" it beforehand?

Seems more likely their hands are tied. They did already tell you that you get to choose when walking the border, so, there's your fix, far as I'm aware.

Out of interest does the wedding ring put you in the right instance or is even that random?

We are having the same problem. Partied up with two friends, teleported to hand something in and suddenly we were all in different instances and had to walk back from town. It's all the sillier because my server is tiny and there were only ten other people in each instance anyway.

No, I don't think it puts you in the same instance just the zone, but it's difficult to verify because we can't currently fly in any of the zones, and the ring won't teleport you if you are unable to fly in the destination zone.
