We lost two good people in our Free Company because of the frustration and people getting at one another saying things they wouldn't had this not happened. It was stressful for many sadly. I love this game too much to let something like this sour me on waiting for a fix.

Things go sour everywhere. Everyone should know that every single launch/early access will be a hype train clusterbuck especially on a game as popular as this. If you can't take it, unsub before the launch month and come back after so you can't say "I paid for this". I personally won't unsub for at most 4 days of issues while things even out and players start having work hours.

The issue is, with ANY early access/beta etc... We are all the guinea pigs. We are the stress test for their servers. While I may think, they went about this way too cautiously with the bottlenecks, it had to be done, esp with the fact we are in a new data center in NA. People quitting over this simply is ridiculous since without US, the game could fare even worse at launch. WE are what makes the game work in the end, even if we crash it at the start :P

I was probably pretty vocal about my frustration about not being able to get through. But not knowing when you'd get in the duty was the most difficult part. So, now that I've made it past and into Kugane, I just wanted to say thank you for addressing the issue.

Going forward, I hope the devs will learn from this. And here's to whatever 4.0 has in store for us!

What mistake? It's like any Early Access/Beta....Clearly you haven't been in a early access/beta for (EA esp) games.... Forget about playing the game for days. At least in FFXIV we could fate and the like....we were on new data servers, to expect it to go smoothly...is just funny. :P But i guess that's the difference between players, the ones who've been through this before and the ones who never have. It was a learning experience for everyone. I will say though even with the problems, I was still surprised how much I could access aside from the one MSQ. They did good imo with separating into instances and the like to help alleviate traffic.

I pay money for internet, power and newspaper too. Do I unsub and find a new company each time net or power goes down or my newspaper isn't delivered on time? Services go down everywhere.

Funny my isp fails to deliver they don't compensate time lost they compensate about 10 fold. Restaurant fails to deliver proper meal get a new meal and free. Newspaper doesn't deliver properly, oh wait they are so unreliable they are almost extinct. Power company never had an outage more then a few hours and guess what when I can't use it properly, I don't pay it.

Two things A)gates and B)dev decision. This isn't typical MMO launch shit. So stop pretending everyone is lining up because the server que was to bad. This is specifically about a company that can't count the number of preorders and instances they have. Hence the lvl 100 hate.

This is a very typical mmo launch shit. Sorry to say but it's the same as it's been since vanilla. Legion struggled the same with demon hunters, half the server tried to make one so it was hell getting through their intro zone. Oh how we cried back then too.

No one's thanking anyone for mistakes. The mistake was frustrating. It should not have happened, and it should not happen again It was even worse not knowing what was going on. I'm thanking them for fixing the mistake.

This is not typical launch shit though. Me dcing and getting put back into 5k que zones crashing or mobs glitching that is typical. Instancing and gating every god damn quest. If people could just explore and play at their leisure this wouldn't be as big. But oh wait how many quests can you do if you can get past an instance they can't afford to run? Numbers please how many quests how much exploring can you % please. Any WoW launch you can almost go to the whole expansion except for the new race/job starting spot, unless thye changed that only let you into one tiny section of two zones. And I am saying TINY TINY. Quit saying this is typical it is not.

If you can't do anything besides the msq then I'm very sorry for you, that's a narrow way to play a good game.

It's because I do everything and have done basically everything in the game that I don't want to do anything during Early Access besides the MSQ.

Everything else you do is more efficient when you do it after you get 1 job to max level and have flight in all areas.

You don't have to feel sorry for me that I've already done PotD a million times and was not interested it in doing it more on new jobs. You don't have to feel sorry for me that I just grinded out all the Garo mounts in PvP and don't have much interest in jumping back into grinding PvP even though the new system sounds interesting.

and FATEs suck, always have always will. and they suck even more when you can't fly to them.
