Do NOT throw matches just to try and get your XP faster.

This is just like trying to afk through a PvE instance and reap rewards. It's even more frowned upon than botting, and you definitely don't want to make a name for yourself as someone who will sabotage his own team just to try and finish faster.

Those of use who enjoyed PvP even before the sweeping changes of 4.0 are happy to finally both enjoy our favorite in-game activity, AND still progress toward endgame in doing so. Many of us are also will to help newcomers learn how to PvP. But if you're the type of player just looking for quick easy XP, go run fates and don't sully a competitive gameplay mode by throwing.

Thats what it is going to be like for awhile, with the RDM and SAM. You got to admit that 600k exp for really no work if you throw a match is sweet if you think about it. I like that pvp que fast atm because I do enjoy pvp. However I do think it was a teribble move to add exp into pvp, should not have been done.

It's human nature to take the fastest laziest way to get to the end, sadly.

And yeah, throwing matches is lame. I think I've been on the end of that once or twice and it sucks. You show up to actually try to pull your weight and everybody else stands around with their thumbs up their butts hoping the match will be over faster. *sigh*

By doing nothing and allowing the other team to win. Usually, this happens if 50% or more people in the group decide they're going to do nothing and just sit and let the other team take over their bases etc so that they win faster.

Probably by spawning in and go AFK. You can't be hurt or killed while in your little spawn/base thingy.

This is what I was thinking. I skip over the PvP section in the patch notes and wouldn't have known about this without this thread.

Oh yes, I and any others I know will actively vote kick afk players. If I see them again, I have no issue reporting. This goes beyond "different playstyle" nonsense and is just blatant disruption of others enjoyment of the game. Last I knew, that was still reportable.

I'm not expecting every player in there to have squeaky clean morals, but many of them at least have integrity and a respect for competition. Just trying to use it as high yield, low effort leveling is pretty low.
